Yesterday, April 20, my husband got on the podium at an off-road motorcycle race for the first time in a long time, so the drinking couple from Saitama celebrated with a big feast on a weekday 🎊.
We have muscle aches and pains and other physical fatigue, but it's times like this that we should celebrate. ❣️
We started with sushi 🩷, then pancakes with sakura shrimps, pancetta and leeks, mozzarella salad, salted squid, and tako-wawa. We toasted 🥂 with an assortment of delicious food 🥰Jay & Nobby's recommendation, Dokuhya Sake, which is definitely amazingly delicious ❣️ inadvertently being a sparkling wine? I spilled it like a champagne fight 💦.
Since it's a sparkling wine, I think it's most often served in toasts, but I actually highly recommend reappearing for dessert❤️🍰It was exquisitely delicious with today's dessert baumkuchen 😋.
Last night the race was over and we had to travel 800 km from Hiroshima, the race venue, to Saitama, so we celebrated today, the next day. ❤️ Next race is in Nagano in May, good luck again~! Hope you can stop by the sake brewery too 🤭.
The party was a lot of fun and we opened the second bottle of sake. To be continued: 。。。。。

Yesterday I competed in an off-road motorcycle race in Hiroshima.
For some reason, in the last few years, there have been incidents of bike trouble and crashes on the last lap of the race, and I have not been able to finish the race properly.
This time, I broke this negative jinx and just barely placed 10th in my class🏁.
So today, from mid-afternoon, Mr. Pecko and I have been slowly enjoying Senkou and Kahayo, two of the most popular drinks in Hiroshima that are sure to be a hit!
We started off with a toast to these two 🥂.
(We were in a hurry when we opened the bottle and the sake spewed out.

Naturally delicious 😋.

The main course was our special potato salad and chicken karaage 💖The two of us, tipsy, helped finish and arrange the potato salad and made the karaage, while we talked about the flavors of potato salad and karaage from our respective parents' homes 😃.
Lastly, for dessert, brown sugar ice cream 🍨 and fresh chocolate cake that went a bit wrong lol 😆😆.
My husband, who is working from home today, joined us around dessert time 🙌!
My friend's kind husband came to pick us up and this fun girls' night out was over 🌸.

I bought some "Sachinoka" 🍓 strawberries from Tokushima, so I will have to open a bottle of Sairai-sama 🥰.

And! Speaking of cream cheese, here's one made with Hanayou's sake lees: ‼️
Pairing strawberries with cream cheese and then pairing it with Sairai-sama, in other words, a multiplication of a multiplication of a multiplication‼️ is bound to be delicious 💖Hah~🥰!
Today we had strawberry hors d'oeuvres, shrimp and mushroom ajillo, and a salad of garland chrysanthemum and lettuce.
The main course was sautéed thinly sliced beef 💖 which was also very tasty👍.
Roll up thin slices of meat into a sausage shape and sauté with a light dusting of allspice, salt, coarsely ground black pepper, and flour. Once browned, the inside is juicy and succulent, and the outside is savory and tastes as good as a thick cut steak! It is more trouble-free than steak, and is highly recommended!
The change from the sourness of the strawberries and salad to the sweetness of the beef and the coloring also changes the deliciousness even more 🥰.

We received a bottle of limited-edition sake, light nigori!
Immediately after opening the bottle
I expected the sweetness to come to the forefront due to the light nigori, but instead of sweetness, fresh and clean acidity and the umami of the rice spread. It finishes with a lingering bitterness. It is a masterpiece of perfection. Of course, it can be easily matched with any dishes, Japanese, Western, or Chinese. I will reserve a bottle for next year. ジェイ&ノビィGood evening, Yoshi 😃.

And what a great idea to pair it with Akita sake today, as my grandma is from Akita 🙌❤️

Boiled Chicken with Mustard Sauce: the astringency of the mustard disappeared nicely ⭕️, the squid dumplings should have been grilled to crispy 🧐It goes well with the juicy fat of the Chicken Tang, and yes, Mr. Yamamoto, it's just delicious 🎉!
After this, I made boiled chicken soup to finish off the meal with mini ramen 🍜.

And when I had a conversation with HinaHanaMama in the comments about dessert at Pink🩷Nagi, she suggested "Sakura Mochi", so I made sure to prepare it 🌸😍!
Hi 💓Of course it is the best marriage! The aroma of the sakura mochi, the sweetness of the sweet bean paste, and most importantly, the harmony of the salted sakura leaves, combined with the depth of sweetness and bitterness of the Nagi were exquisite 💖.

Today's salad is salted Chinese cabbage tossed with sesame oil, dried bonito flakes, and roasted sesame seeds. The saltiness and sesame flavor must have been on the Edo dining table. ❤️ It looks like pickles! Simple nice pairing👍
The chicken was marinated with lemon, olive oil and black pepper, grilled and served with mustard! So! The first thing I put in my mouth was the mustard and Senkou-sama✨This combination was so exciting💓❣️ mustard has both bitterness and sourness, so it added a slight sweetness to this Senkou-sama which has no sweetness💖It may not have been around in the Edo period, but I would love to go back and suggest it❣️
Lastly, I would like to introduce our potatoes😆.
Potatoes deep fried and sprinkled with corn cream soup powder as seasoning 🥰This is a B-grade dish, but you should try it with konpota on the potatoes. ‼️It's surprisingly good. ‼️
If you're in the mood for a fried dish, this is an easy and simple way to get it without being heavy 😍.
