The fruity juiciness comes first, and then it is surprisingly light and fluffy. It is so light that it seems to melt in your mouth. A definite delicacy.
This is good. It is a raw sake from Isshuikusuisei. Fruity and sweet, like banana juice. I'm glad I was born in Japan, where such a delicious sake is priced at around 3,000 yen for a bottle.
Hundred Mouths. Sake from Higashinada-ku, Kobe. A full-bodied creation of Kiku-Masamune. Purchased at Bic Camera for about 3,300 yen. It has a sweet and sour taste like yogurt, and a clean, uncluttered aftertaste. It tastes so good that I could drink a whole bottle in one night.
A light, lightly sweet sake reminiscent of spring. It has a fruity freshness like muscat and a crisp koji aroma at the end, which I like. I would buy this sake again when I visit Akita.
Agave is apparently an ingredient in tequila. It was a delightful sake with a refreshing pineapple-like acidity, sweetness, and slight carbonation. It is said to be a brewery that is gaining momentum in the city of Oga in Akita Prefecture.
I drank it with chocolate. It was a perfect match for the sweetness of the chibi jin and the bitterness that lingered in my throat. Chocolate and Chiebijin went down well.
The first Chiba sake I ever drank. It has an unusual name, Jumangame. It is light on the palate and crisp and tight. A sake that goes well with Chiba's local fish.
Purchased for New Year's Day. When chilled and served in a wine glass, it has a refreshing sweetness like a white wine. After that, a mild aroma of koji (malted rice) penetrates the nostrils. This is my favorite sake.
The sweet and sour flavor is like grapefruit juice. It made a refreshing sound when opened, and the slight carbonation of the alcohol was pleasant to the throat.
