It is a fresh and juicy sake, not light and dry, although it was established over 120 years ago in Niigata Prefecture. The label design seems to have been created by a designer, with a very cute postal label. It was a gorgeous sake that even those who do not like sake could enjoy.

Small brewery run by a husband and wife team Excellent Prize, Junmai-shu Category, Yamaguchi Prefecture New Sake Competition Ruri Wakakusa: A Japanese flower of the herb Nemophila A beautiful flower that seems to connect to the sky... such a beautiful sake! The fresh aroma of fruit is followed by a firm umami, and then it is refreshing. It is the kind of sake that makes everyone say it is delicious. It was as delicious as any dish.

A super-hot ginjo-shu boasting a sake degree of ➕20. It was not only excitingly spicy, but also mildly sharp. The 50 percent polish of the entire lineup gives it a flavor without any cloying taste. It is a perfect sake for a mealtime drink! I love Kudokibe and tried it, but it was a completely different type of sake.

Yesterday was your second moon viewing 🌕 thirteenth night! Nabeshima Harvest Moon for Otsukimi Sake! Koji rice is Aizan, Kake rice is Omachi What a luxurious combination! It is a junmai sake, but I found it to be very well-balanced, with a refreshing, yet soft and fluffy taste. It seems to go well with any dishes. It was a perfect match with sashimi and shellfish boiled in salt.

I received this as a souvenir from Hokkaido. It is a public-private brewery, a rare collaboration between Higashikawa Village in Hokkaido and the Sanzen Sakura Sake Brewery, which moved here from Gifu. It is a junmai (pure rice) sake, but it has a soft rice flavor that is typical of Aizan, and it seemed to be a good match with the food. Dried landlocked salmon and bai clam were excellent with the salty taste.

It was easy to drink, with a slight carbonation, fruity flavor, and umami, typical of Kangiku. It is perfect with fragrant fried prawns and potatoes with starchy sauce.

Heretical brewery in Niigata Prefecture with a lot of light, dry sake. It seems to be a limited edition sake made by professionals with al additions and test brewing. Takachiyosan does a lot of things! I don't usually drink alcohol-added sake, but it was easy to drink with a sense of maturity. The straw-roasted asparagus and ginkgo bacon were both very tasty.

It's been a while since I've been out drinking 🍶. Junmai Ginjo Ginrei by Drunken Whale Brewery The name "Drunken Whale" comes from the fact that they want people to drink sake as deliciously as a whale drinks water. The aroma was moderate and the taste was refreshing, a typical "in-between-dinner" sake. Kochi is known for its bonito! This time, since we were at a straw grill restaurant, we had it with grilled bonito. It was a perfect match.

The brand seems to have been created under the supervision of the brewer of Jyushiyo. The bottles were hand-packed one by one in plastic, as if it is not mass-produced. The juicy aroma of fruits spread and it was easy to drink. This time it was Omachi rice, but I would like to drink it with different rice.

Oze no Yukimelto Omachi Rice 50 Junmai Ginjo Omachi Rice 2023, Award of Excellence Oze no Yukimeltuke series are all under 50 percent and seem to be cosy. The Omachi rice is gorgeous and fresh. I think it is best when matched with steak.

Limited Edition Kihachi Label for Nabeshima Tank made for Kihachi Koyama of Koyama Shoten A limited edition sake that is hard to drink. It has a fruity taste and goes well with Japanese food. I would like to visit a ryokan located in a brewery in Saga Prefecture someday and enjoy Nabeshima with a food marriage.

I was surprised at the impact of the fancy label and the name "W". The name "W" seems to come from "Watanabe Shuzo," "World," and "Laugh. The taste is sweet and rich. Yamada-Nishiki 45%, polished to perfection.
