The label is on the sake upside down, but since this is a picture of the glass taken with the food, you can't tell the difference. It has a distinctly dark and spicy reputation, but the depth of flavor and richness is well-defined. So it seems to go very well with seafood. We had it with shirasu (baby sardines), iwagaki (oysters), and clams.
The taste is rich and drinkable, and the flavor has a slight sweetness afterward. Sake from Mikawa is served at a restaurant near the sea that is open from morning in Mikawa. It is the best.
