At the inn of Jozankei Onsen (hot spring) on a trip to Hokkaido. The proprietress recommended this sake and we drank it. The brewery is located at the northernmost tip of Hokkaido. It is sweet but refreshing and easy to drink.
At a Genghis Khan restaurant in Asahikawa, Hokkaido.
I wondered if sake would go well with jingisukan, but it was fine and delicious. It has a freshness that only freshly stored sake can have, and the crisp yet mellow aroma in the mouth is indescribably delicious.
I have been wanting to drink this for a long time. I chose it as my first evening drink of the year. It is a sweet and mildly strong sake. It was a perfect match with Osechi.
