I bought this sake in 2024 and couldn't remember until I opened the fridge today. The bottle looks very beautiful and has the texture of jadeware. The flavor of the sake is very distinct and still relatively rich after a year.

Due to personal circumstances, I ordered my sake in October 2024 and did not actually receive it until May 2025. Nevertheless, it remains the most surprising sake ever! It goes well with a variety of foods and is very easy to drink straight. Importantly, the flavors do not deteriorate after six months of standing, but rather retain their elegance. When I finished this bottle, I made up my mind to try all of Kangiku Shuzo's products (I later learned that Kenaiyama was already among the best, lol).

It is an unforgettable taste! I have tried various sake rice varieties of "Jikin" and Hakutsuru-nishiki is my favorite flavor. It has a rich sake body, the umami is not too strong, and while easy to drink, it is not mediocre. It is a taste that clearly engraves in your mind that you have had a great sake. The price is high, but you will want to drink it again.

I won't go into detail about the taste of Shinmasa, since you are probably familiar with it (laughs). For me personally, the sweetness of the S-type is more subdued, and I may prefer it over Yonotori. However, considering the price, I don't think I would purchase it continuously.

It has a rich mouthfeel that is superior to the wines of this brewery. Since a small amount of new sake is produced in limited quantities only every winter, it is difficult to purchase every time, but I cherish the opportunity to have it. The refreshing quality of the sake can be enjoyed straight, but I hear that the flavor is inconsistent from year to year, so I look forward to the next batch.
