Kazu Murayasu
Sake I drank in Niigata
I had an image of Murayusuke = sweet and Japanese sake, but this Murayusuke has a sweet taste, but it is not so sweet.
but this Murayusuke has sweetness but
but I felt a strong sourness.
Not too sweet and refreshing.
I think it might be my favorite of all the Murayusake. ☺️
The aroma is clean, like a pear.
In the mouth, it has a mild mouthfeel with a gentle, deep sweetness.
The sweetness gradually fades away, leaving a lingering aftertaste with a slight bitterness.
I have wanted to drink Murayuke again since my friend in Niigata gave it to me about 10 years ago. To my surprise, a liquor store not far from my house was a distributor.
It has a rich, fruity sweetness in the mouth and a slightly spicy flavor after it passes the throat. It is so tasty that you can go without any snacks because of its strong flavor.
Murasaki-period mutual aid association (i.e. for mutual aid and assistance in the treatment of disabled persons)
I had it with a mouthful. It smells like drench cherries and has a strong sweet taste.
The brand name is derived from the surname of the brewer, "Murayama," and "Yu" means "to help and bring happiness.
The brand also incorporates the German wine concept of ranking wines based on sweetness (the sweeter the wine, the higher the rank).
Sweet but with just the right amount of acidity to make it easy to drink.
Even though the alcohol content is 16%, it feels lighter and you can drink it easily.
Murayu Junmai Daiginjo
The previous Murasuke was Junmai, so we compared the two.
This one is also made with wasanbon (Japanese sugar), or is it? It tastes elegant but too sweet...
The next day and every day after that, I drank it with a sake cup, and after a week, it became easier to drink as it lost its sweetness.
I honestly think many people don't like it if they only taste it for one day. I thought it would be better to drink it while enjoying the change little by little every day 🤔.
The ginjo aroma spreads in your mouth the moment you put it in. It is said to have been brewed with the image of wasanbon sugar, and is characterized by its elegant sweetness. It is not too sweet, but has a subtle sourness and bitterness that accentuates the taste.
Preference ★★★★☆
The aroma is subdued.
Condensed, dense, sweet and delicious.
The balance between elegant sweetness and acidity is superb and smooth. The alcohol is also well balanced.
Very tasty.
