This is the sake that was served at the sake festival at the Ojin Shrine ⛩️. Each person was given sake in a bag from the shrine. I think all the sake was from Nara, but I couldn't tell what was in the bag until I looked into it.
Here is the sake I received. This is another sake that is new to me.
I remember tasting their liqueur at a tasting event somewhere, and the plum and mikan were delicious.
This sake has a strong alcohol smell with a twang.
The taste is classic. It is crisp but not unbalanced. When I warmed it up to lukewarm, it reminded me of the taste my father used to drink and I felt nostalgic.
It has become much colder today. It's time to drink hot sake.
I bought some sake for heating sake when I went shopping this month, but I didn't know I'd be opening it so soon 😅.
This is also my first brand. I've been thinking of having it someday, but haven't been able to get my hands on it yet.
We enjoyed it with sukiyaki.
Umenoyado Junmai Sake Aya
Moderately easy to drink with sweetness, acidity and bitterness
Easy to drink.
It is well-balanced enough to be drunk alone or during a meal.
It seems to be a major sake in Nara Prefecture. There were numerous signboards when I visited the southern part of Nara. The sake has a sweet taste, but has other subtle flavors.
Home Drinking Otsuka Sake Brewery
Awesome 😱!
The color is as pale as barley tea!
Both flavor and acidity are strong. Goes well with chapchae or other strong flavored snacks 🍗🍻.
I drank it cold this time, but it is also good hot.
The proprietress of the usual liquor store recommends this one🌸.
I bought it with me when I went to buy Ippo myself 😁 because you can't use your card unless you spend over 2000 yen.
Contrary to the classical label, it is fruity and sharp, just the way the proprietress likes it💕.
It's certainly delicious ✨and cheap, so it's good for when you're in need 🌸
Hi Mamio 😊
I've had Ume no Yado, plum wine and liqueur, but I've never had sake. It's so rare to even see 💦 I'd like to try this delicious and reasonably priced sake: ❣️
Ume-no-yado unfeigned hiyaoroshi. It is recommended to be served at room temperature or lukewarm, but I chilled it.
Although it is 70% polished rice, it has a beautiful aroma. It has a clean sweetness and a mild astringency with a subdued acidity. The lingering umami is well expressed and can be enjoyed both before and during a meal.
There is nothing wrong with chilling it, which is good.
At room temperature, it is juicy with a rice flavor, and the aftertaste recedes quickly.
Memorandum.
One day at the end of September...I want to buy sake (fruit wine) for my daughter,
She asked me to go out with her.
Apparently, she wanted to do some research at a stand-up bar 🤭.
So we went to Umenoyado Izakaya 🍶 and then to Edion.
BLOSSOM STRAWBERRY (not at the izakaya)
I bought it without incident.
On the day of the Mid-Autumn Moon, I went moon-viewing with my daughter, each with a bottle of sake in hand 🌕.
This sake smells like 🍓 and tastes like strawberry jam.
It has a gentle taste with no astringency or sourness. It was good for alcohol beginners 🔰.
I think it was good for the 🔰😄.
Thank you for the treat 😋😋.
I couldn't take a picture of the bottle (T_T).
Well, it's a crowded pub, so there are days like that.
Ume no Yado Harvest Junmai
It is dry and bitter with a good flavor. Might be too much for your taste.
Umenoyado Shuzo
Umenoyado Junmai Ginjo Limited Sake
This brewery is located in Katsuragi City, Nara Prefecture.
This is a limited edition sake made from Yamahai junmai ginjo and stored at low temperature for nearly half a year.
This is a limited edition sake made by storing the pure rice ginjo at low temperature for nearly half a year.
The richness of Yamahai is slightly suppressed,
yet it has a full-bodied taste with a firm acidity.
The taste is full and rich.
