I'm going to go to Junmai Hiyaoroshi, chewing on the happiness of drinking NEWBORN at this time of year.
For me, as a beginner, comparing drinks is also a learning experience. I'm going to find out with my stupid tongue what the difference is between raw and hiyaoroshi, even with the same junmai!
Of course, it's not nearly as tangy, and a little sourness is asserted. It's not a sharp sourness, however, it's a rich yet subdued taste with a deep sourness spreading in the mouth.
In my review earlier, I assumed that NEWBORN was the first son and Hiyaoroshi was the third son in the order of release (the fire-roasted Junmai was the second son), but when I compared them, I found that the calm Hiyaoroshi was the first son and the mischievous third son, NEWBORN.
It's the same Akatake Junmai, but the taste is so different. Japanese sake is a scary thing.
It was a personal petit luxury at the end of summer.
