It is a robust sake that is unmistakably Japanese.
At best, it is rich and full of rice flavor. At worst, it has a unique harshness or boldness to it.
For better or worse, it is a sake for sake lovers, and does not have the flamboyance of a ginjo sake.
Personally, I think it is perfectly fine, and goes well with sweet and spicy Japanese food.
On the other hand, the bad points seem to stand out with light foods.
