This may be the wrong homare but wow it’s really good. Super fruity and floral on the nose. So smooth on the palate. Melon, stone fruits, apple, banana, pink flowers, sakura. I recommend pairing with with something that compliments the umami on the end like cheeses, red meats, or even some salty (not spicy) snacks. 8.9/10

Most sake from miyagi is somewhat sweet and full bodied. This one from Lawson in Asakusa is no exception. At room temp you can feel that heat and the bold flavor of the Sasanishiki rice. Bringing it to a chilled temperature calms down this angry beast and it shows its more feminine side: floral, fruity, apples, bananas, and a slight hint of chestnuts. I get a bit of sakura and white flowers as well. For only 450 yen for 300 ml this is an absolute steal. Pairs with savory meats and cheeses.

I keep going back to the sake bar that has this because I don’t know where else to find it. I first rated it 9.1/10 but as I keep drinking it I like it more and more so eating it a 9.4/10 now. Official notes include cherry blossom, apple, and melon. The first two stick out but I get strong sour notes of citrus lemon and orange. Is unique and exotic.

Wandering Poet is a smooth Junmai Ginjo sake with aromas of pear, melon, and lychee. Its flavor is light and slightly sweet, featuring notes of honeydew, white peach, and a hint of nuttiness. Medium-bodied with a clean, refreshing finish, it pairs well with sushi, sashimi, grilled fish, or even creamy dishes. Versatile and elegant, it’s ideal for both beginners and sake enthusiasts.
