Last fall, I went on a trip to Nagano and bought this Shinshu Kamerei at the Okazaki Sake Brewery in Ueda.
Since Shinshu Kamerei itself has become a rare sake that is hard to find, I was a little hesitant to open the bottle, but I had accumulated a stock of sake that I bought on my trip, so I opened it.
After taking a sip, I was surprised in a good way that this was a regular sake. I was surprised in a good way.
It tastes sweet and umami, with a touch of gas, and finishes with a slight bitterness and sourness. Although it is alky, it is not at all dull and is quite easy to drink. It is dangerous to drink without hesitation.
At Takatsu Sake Shop, I purchased Matsuo, a sake from Nagano Prefecture that I had been curious about the last time I visited.
It has a soft, fruity aroma, and when you take a sip, the sweetness comes first, followed slowly by the spiciness. The change in flavor is interesting and delicious.
Good evening, Ponchan, and thank you for your comment. I drank it for the first time and it is Matsuo delicious! I heard it is a small brewery, so it must be difficult to find a good one, but I would like to try various kinds of sake again if there are any.
The second drink of my trip to Toyama was sake from a brewery in Himi, Toyama. It is rare to find this sake in the Kansai region.
The label was decorated with gorgeous autumn leaves.
It has a subtle aroma, a slightly matured taste, and a lot of umami.
Toyama trip, dinner & sake at a restaurant in Takaoka.
The restaurant has a good selection of sake from Toyama and other Hokuriku regions.
The first sake was Katsuma, a dry and refreshing sake with a delicious rice flavor. It goes well with the seafood from Toyama. It is delicious.
First visit to Takatsu Sake Shop in Kusatsu City.
I was surprised at the wide selection of local sake from Shiga and other regions of Japan, including Laughing Season, and after much deliberation, I bought a bottle of Sanryusei Hiyayogoshi (hiyaoroshi).
The color was a little yellowish, the taste was umami and sweet, with a touch of spiciness coming later.
I would like to try it heated.
Good evening, Pon-chan. I see you are going to Takatsu Sake Shop. Yes, there was a good selection of sake from outside of Shiga, and I myself was interested in Matsuo from Nagano, Raifuku from Ibaraki, etc. I would like to visit again 😊.
This is a sake from a brewery that is new to the Kansai region and not often seen here.
It has a good balance of sweetness, umami, and acidity, and tastes great as it goes down smoothly.
This is the first sake from the brewery I have ever had. Mild on the palate, with a delicious umami flavor and a dry, refreshing aftertaste. Delicious!
This sake is made by the famous Mitomiku Sake Brewery, which is known for its three stars.
It has a strong umami flavor and acidity, but it is fresh and crisp. Delicious.
Serve cold. The aroma is subdued.
It is not only spicy but also has the flavor of rice.
It was delicious and matched well with the salted fish and nameko mushrooms we ordered.
It can be served at room temperature or heated.
