This is a summer sake from Okada Honke, the only remaining sake brewery in Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture.
This is a summer sake, sweeter than the hi-ire junmai ginjo, and delicious!
This brand is not often seen outside of sake stores in the eastern part of Hyogo Prefecture and the Himeji area. The flavor is similar to that of Senzuke, also from Hyogo Prefecture.
Akashi octopus caught off the coast of Akashi is served with Akashi sake.
I personally think of Akashi sake as a refreshingly dry sake that is not too dry and not too dry, taking the high road on the Seto Inland Sea side of Hyogo Prefecture. The aftertaste is also spicy.
