This is a junmai ginjo made with Aizan and Yamadanishiki, which I have never had before despite claiming to be a fan of the instrument Masamune. It's crisp, clean and delicious as expected. I really like Gakki Masamune.
This is the first drink I had at a sake pub in my neighborhood. It has the sweetness of rice and the gorgeousness of Junmai Ginjo. And yet, it's not too heavy for the first drink. It's delicious.
The bottle is cool, but the taste is also gorgeous and well balanced. It's not too sweet, but it has the sweetness and aroma of rice, and it goes down easy. It's delicious.
Unique flavor. The alcohol feeling and the depth of the moment when you put it in your mouth. But the aftertaste is unexpectedly refreshing. It is a difficult type to express.
Junmai-shu made from 100% Yamada Nishiki. It is not too dry and you can smell the aroma of rice on the first sip. It is perfect to drink during meals without interfering with the food. It is delicious.
Believing in my theory that Fukushima's sake never fails, I tried it for the first time. I was right, and the taste was to my liking. It is refreshing, but has the sweetness and aroma of rice, and has a sharp aftertaste. It is delicious.
The other day I got the same Shinshu Kameari unfiltered Junmai-shu, but this time it was the same unfiltered Junmai Ginjo. To be honest, my memory is a bit hazy without a direct comparison... It's tangy and slightly fizzy, with a sweet mouthfeel and not too much aftertaste.
I drank it with yakiniku at home. I was drinking Gakki Masamune's Nakadori just before, but if Gakki Masamune's Nakadori is refreshing and light, this one is more gorgeous. It's Shinshu Kameari, so it's not dull, but I think this gorgeousness is better for the first glass than the second.
The other day I went all the way to Okazaki Shuzo in Nagano to try this limited edition sake. It is one of the few KAMEIRAI I have had that is crisp and dry. However, the aroma in the mouth is unique to KAMEIRAI. It's delicious.
I don't know what "Ararunushi" refers to (I'll google it later), but it's an Ararunushi of Shizengo from Oki Daikichi Honten, which was probably my favorite last year. It's a little more robust and dry than the Shizengo and Gakki Masamune I usually drink. But the aftertaste is crisp and well balanced.
I got this at a very small local liquor store while visiting the Okazaki Sake Brewery in Nagano. It's gorgeous and finishes almost like a crop. Delicious.
We were going to have it with Osechi (Japanese New Year's dishes) in the morning of the New Year, but my partner had a hangover, so we had it with dinner.
Although it is a gorgeous Daiginjo, it has a slightly younger finish than the other standard Kuroryu sakes (Shizuku, Nizaemon, Ishidaya). I will be looking after it again this year.
The last sake of the year was Miyazumi's Nigori. I thought it would be impossible not to enjoy it, but the finish was as good as it gets. It's tangy and slightly fizzy, and tastes like fresh, crisp Calpis, yet it's crisp and clean. You'll be drinking it in no time. (I wonder if I'll have the energy left to fry tempura after this).
It has been a long time since I made this. It is easy to drink if you say it is easy to drink, but I didn't feel the Daiginjo-like taste. It is a little sweet, or maybe I don't like it so much if I choose this among the saku.
Chicken and wine at Christmas? No, it's sake! This is Junmai Daiginjo, the most expensive line of KAMEIRAI. As I expected, expensive sake is free from miscellaneous tastes. It's mellow, sweet, and well-balanced without being overly sweet. We finished it all in no time at all.
Because my parents' house was a turkey on Christmas day rather than Christmas Eve. Today's menu was fried horse mackerel and stewed beef. Shinshu Kameari has a sweetness and taste like unpasteurized sake, but not too much.
I gave up on the lottery this year and took a bottle of Shizuku to my favorite sushi restaurant, and they brought out an unopened bottle of Futazaemon! It is the best finish this year too. After all, Ishidaya and Nizaemon are the best sake. They are flawless.
