This sake was purchased in Gunma. Brewed in tank #67 at Makino Shuzo in Oosakizuki, it is said to be the best conditioned Junmai sake for the first half of 2025. The taste is fruity and full, like melon juice. But it's not too rich, so you won't get tired of drinking it. A good buy.

I went back home to Gunma and stocked up on local sake at my favorite liquor store. This is a limited trial sake for a sake show by the Yanagisawa Sake Brewery, known for its Yuijin sake. It is a very attractive sake with 35% Yamada-Nishiki polished rice, 18 degrees Celsius, and the yeast is not disclosed. I usually don't buy a bottle of this sake, but the owner strongly recommended it to me. It is my favorite type of sake, sweet and fresh with gas, but with a punch. It is so good that I think I will finish the bottle in no time.

After taking care of my pet snail, which is a holiday tradition, I spent the evening drinking in Kita-Akita. Reasonable and cosy sake for home 🍶.
I had it with a sake cup from Sawanoi-en of Ozawa Sake Brewery. I want to go back to Sawanoien.

Sake served at a reception for a university undergraduate alumni association meeting. The selection is always left up to me at a local liquor store, but the selection here is sure to be good. It was my favorite fruity unfiltered raw sake! I drank it with high expectations, but was more than impressed. The ladies liked it too. As expected, the bottle ran out quickly😅.

Shinkame's raw sake. Alcohol 16.5%. It is thick and rich, but you will never get tired of drinking it. It seems to go well with all kinds of food.
By the way, we had meat and potatoes, seasonal sparkling firefly squid, cucumber with miso mayo, and boiled broccoli. It was delicious and I drank too much😆.

I am on the last Hokuriku Shinkansen train to Kanazawa for work tomorrow. I am taking the Grand Class train, which I have longed for, on my own expense. It was my first time to ride in Grand Class, and when I asked for sake, Kutouryu was served. I am enjoying the travel time and enjoying the taste.

Sake purchased during a trip back to my hometown in Gunma. In the past 10 years or so, there has been an increase in the variety of delicious sake in Gunma, which was unthinkable before. I have the impression that the young master brewers are doing a particularly good job.
Higen" is new to me, but it has a fresh taste that I like. I would like to buy it again when I go back to my hometown.
