We tried a new favorite Kangiku!
Excited to try Yamagata's Yamashu No. 4, a rice new to me.
The mouthfeel was refreshing with the usual slight effervescence!
Kangiku is basically sweet and tasty, but this one was not as sweet and had a nice balance of bitterness!
This is delicious! I recommend it!

The sourness and bitterness (which can be felt as astringency) unique to zicon lingered until the end of the drink, reminding me again that zicon is delicious. 🙆♀️
I've been drinking various types of zicon ....
I like other types of Zicon better.

After seeing our son's effort at the field day, we were in the mood for a rare sake and opened the bottle.
This was my first time drinking Genshu Mai.
My first impression was that it was spicier than I imagined!
I wonder if it becomes sweeter when it becomes jungin.
The taste of rice is strongly felt and it is delicious.

The mouthfeel is pleasantly fizzy with a tangy effervescence, and soon the unique acidity and rice flavor of Hachitan-Nishiki spreads in the mouth.
It still has a moderate sake flavor and is spicier than other sakes we have had so far.
It is well-balanced and very tasty!

We rushed to buy a new bottle of our favorite Kangiku and opened it immediately!
The fizziness was weak because it was fire-aged, but the impact on the palate was strong!
As with previous Kangiku, you can really taste the umami of the rice and it's GOOD😆.

It has a pleasantly fizzy, sharp, and spicy taste, but you can still taste the deliciousness of the rice 👌.
I was surprised that it tasted better than I expected 🫢.

It's still delicious 😋.
It is easy to drink without any snacks.
Today we bought a bottle of Hozu's Shi-no-jo sake!
I'm looking forward to that one too!

When poured into a glass after tumbling and stirring, it is a delicious light nigori.
In the mouth, the sweetness spreads with a slight effervescence, and the umami of the rice comes later.
It is very tasty!
I like Kangiku after all.

Before forgetting the taste of Ni-no-no-nozo, we opened a bottle of San-no-nozo brewed in a wooden vat.
It is less sweet than the Ninonozo and has a slight sourness and depth to it.
I like the aroma! Delicious 😆.

We found it at a liquor store in Niigata and bought it without a second thought.
Compared to regular Keito-Umeshu, it has less plum taste and more sake taste.
The color is pale pink and very beautiful.
It's good to drink this kind of sake once in a while!
