村上 佳祐We went to Isego Honten in Sendagi to get some sake. We procured 5 bottles of sake such as Kouei Kiku and Shinshu Kameari. I didn't think I'd end up drinking four of them that day... The first sake I opened was Eiko Fuji's Summer Limited Edition Survival. There must be a GLAY fan in the brewery, I'm sure! It seems to be made from a sake rice called Tamanae (which I've never heard of). I felt the alcohol was strong, but the taste was light, dry, and refreshing. It is also good as a sake during meals. We paired it with prawn tempura, sea urchin tofu (a salty, richly flavored dish that goes well with sake), and pickled eggplant, and it was delicious. My impression of Nabeshima was a perfect balance of sweetness, spiciness and freshness, but it was crisp and spicy with less sweetness Once you get used to it, you can drink it without feeling uncomfortable. If you drink alone at night, you can't finish a 4-gallon bottle in one day. I realized again that Sharaku Junmaishu is the best sake for evening drinking. Melon-like taste, clear without any miscellaneous taste. However, it is not flaky. Every time you change the way you drink it, it shows you a different side of mellowness, sweetness, and sharpness. It's like a kaleidoscope of flavors, and you end up drinking it all while admiring it. Thanks for the food. It tastes like a high class sake, but isn't the real pleasure of sake to be able to drink this quality sake for less than 2000 yen? However, I think it is a sake that you can choose where to drink it. If it is served in an izakaya (Japanese style pub) with good food and stylish sake cups, its potential can be maximized. I have the impression that it tends to be overpowering when drunk at home, and I analyze that this has led to the evaluation that it is not worth the premium.
