WAKAZE the classic neo traditional FRENCH SAKE Purchased at a liquor store WAKAZE has been on my mind for a long time. Strong acidity Tastes quite like white wine It tastes more like a white wine than an everyday dish. It is better to drink it with cheese It is better to drink with a glass of wine To be added later Blue cheese 🧀, It went well with tomato-based pasta 🍝!

Looks and smells like white wine? It looked and smelled like white wine. It was a gift, so I thought it was unusual and tried it, but the mellowness of the aftertaste was more like wine, and I felt it was not suitable for someone like me who is not very good at wine. I wonder if it would go well with cheese or some other snacks that go well with Western wine. If it is made in France and considered as a sake for spreading sake in Europe, I think there are many people who like it.

At a tasting at a local liquor store, We were given a very rare bottle of Wakaze's French 1st Vintage. The lemon and herbal aroma of the wine made me feel European just by drinking it. I would like to try the other two, but that will have to wait until next time😅.

I bought it at the WAKAZE booth, which was open at Dessert Festival. They were having a tasting, so I had a few sips. The Classic was easier to drink than the FONIA series, but out of curiosity, I bought the SORRA, which is one of the easier drinking FONIAs. This sake has a botanical feel with yuzu, lemon, and sansho. Drinking it straight, it has a unique aroma and flavor like an old sake and the freshness of citrus fruits. Smoky cheese went well with it. It can be enjoyed on its own, but it is very good on the rocks or with soda to make it lighter and easier to drink. Delicious!
