Hokkaido is a sake of Asahikawa. I have not yet explored Hokkaido. Dreaming of one day being able to visit Asahikawa (and Escondido and Chestnut Tree Farm). It tastes very rich even at room temperature. The sweetness of the rice is strong. The spiciness follows, but it is probably because of the sweetness of the base. It is pleasant to drink. How about when it is warmed up? The spiciness comes in like a wave of refreshing spiciness, and the sweetness of the spiciness and the rich sweetness come back and forth. It is a rippling wave of flavor that comes and goes. It is better as a heated sake.

This time it was a rare cup of sake. I bought this set just for its appearance. When I drank it, to my surprise, it was a delicious junmai sake. The cups are too good to throw away. I think I'll use it when I drink at home. In total, I'm glad I bought it.

Pair with grilled squid 🦑 with salt and bonito with garlic butter. I was attracted by the cute picture on the cup, so I bought it and put it on display, but then I drank it 😄. It is dry and has little umami flavor, but it is perfect for a mealtime drink. It went down smoothly without any unpleasant taste. It would also go well with lukewarm sake. I will try it next time.

Sweet aroma of rice type Sweet, moderately dry, no bitterness, slight acidity Slight sweetness and sourness in the aftertaste No lingering sake feeling. It was an easy-drinking sake, neither too much nor too little.

I found this cute little one-cup sake at a liquor store that is too far away for me to get to very often, but has the best selection of sake in the city. My first sake from Hokkaido. Simple and easy to drink. I should have bought another bottle to try drinking it warm!
