Eiko-Fuji drinking comparison. On the left is the Kumasan Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Nama-Genjyu, and on the right is the Junmai Daiginjo Natsu-shu Nanahoshi. Both are Junmai Daiginjos with a 50% rice polishing ratio. The acidity is also 1.6. The sake rice, degree and sake level are different, but Morinokuma-san has a lower degree.
Morinokuma-san is a light, unfiltered, raw sake with a soft aroma and acidity that spreads. Nanahoshi has a strong acidity, but it also has a strong umami flavor. It's different after all.
Kido Junmai Ginjo Natsu no Shippu. I came here to drink this. I can't get enough of this refreshing taste, the coolness of the aroma, and the way the acidity comes through. When I drink this, I get the feeling that summer has started .......
Today is the welcome party for new employees at the company I work for. We had a barbecue by the sea in Toyosu, and then came to Sake Brewery in Ikebukuro for an after-party. I heard that they had opened a nice sake bar.
I started with Kido Tokubetsu Junmai Karakuchikid. Let's go light and nimble. It has a nice dryness that lives up to its dry name. However, it also has a nice, relaxed umami taste.
Hanaoyokyu Junmai Ginjo TheMatch55 Yamadanishiki✕ Omachi. This is a comparison of the regular one and the ogara-mi. I never thought I would be able to do such a comparison for less than 1,000 yen.
The only difference between the two is whether they are ogara-mi or not, so there is no major difference in aroma or taste.
Eiko-Fuji Akono-Wing Junmai Orikagarami. It has a sweet aroma like Eiko-Fuji, but it also has a sharp spiciness. There is also a slight carbonation that gives a tangy sensation on the tongue.
Hououmida Junmai Ginjo Hatsushibori Unfiltered Hon Nama. This one was still available, which is lucky because it will be out of season in a little while. As expected of Hououmida, the aroma is wonderful. The softness of the sweetness and the spread of the acidity are also in good condition. I like it.
On the way home from my errands today, I stopped by Ikebukuro and had some sake at the Sake Cost Sake Brewery.
First up was Kido Junmai Ginjo Haru no Kaorufu. It has a light acidity and a cool feeling. It has a sweetness that goes through the mouth smoothly. It is nice to drink this kind of sake on a warm day like today and feel the fever receding.
The sake is representative of Chiba Prefecture, where I am from. This was the first time I drank Aizan's sake. Aizan is still very good. Kangiku is the best.
