Ura-Kiyama Super Dry Junmai Daiginjo. The regular Ura-Kiyama is very fragrant, sweet, and gorgeous, but this one has the label backwards and the taste backwards as well. It is very sharp and very dry. This is the first time I've had it, and it's also very good.
Houou Mita Junmai Ginjo Reserve Orders Mita Aikoku. It is a 100% local sake made from 100% Aikuni rice grown in the former Mitamura area where the Kobayashi Brewery is located.
Unusually for a Houou Mita sake, it has a dry taste with a slight astringency in the back. However, it also has a clear aroma like a clear stream, and is a beautiful sake.
Today was a day for drinking out, after asking my wife to do a little too much. We went to the Sake Cost Sake Brewery in Ikebukuro.
The first glass was Kangiku Ocean99 Aomi. It is one of the sweetest of the Kangiku Ocean series, with a pineapple-like aroma and sweet and sour taste. The sweetness has a nice sharpness, as one would expect from Kangiku.
