It seems to be the time for new sake. It is a freshly squeezed, unfiltered, raw sake. The alcohol content is high, but it is very smooth, so you can drink more and more of it. It is dangerous. It is only available in Shinshu, but if you are in the area, please try it.

This is another local sake, Honkin. This is the kind of sake that is only available in the local area. It's a regular sake, but it's totally delicious. I think I'll try drinking local sake for a while.

The most popular drink in the Suwa area may possibly be this "Takaten Karakuchi". It is a very popular sake in the Suwa area, and you can usually find two or three bottles of it missing from the shelves in every store you go to. It is moderately spicy and can be drunk with a small side dish, or as a mid-meal drink. It is also reasonably priced because it is a regular sake. It may not be available outside of the local area, but I am sure such sake can be found all over the country!

It's my first day off in a while tomorrow, so I went to the liquor store to have a drink tonight. I was attracted by the colorful label and bought this sake. It is 13% alcohol, which is about the same as wine, so I drank it in a wine glass and it went down a treat. It's a problem.
