It is different from other sake. Even when drunk, the richness of the taste, the sweetness that lingers on the palate, and the depth of flavor all make this sake stand out from other sake on the market. This is one sake that makes me want to go back to Shiga for it!
Odorless. The taste is mellow in the mouth, but after swallowing, nothing is left behind and the aftertaste is clean. The alcohol content is high at 18° because it is a pure sake, but you don't feel it. If you are not careful, you may get drunk. (Drunkenness)
It is a little cloudy. Is this a muddiness that is only possible with nama sake?
It has a mild, slightly carbonated, sweet, peach-like aroma that passes through the nose. After drinking, the sweetness and richness of the rice may linger in the mouth a little. Of course, this is in a good way.
Limited edition of 300 bottles. The aroma is quite fruity at first, and at that point it sets it apart from the usual Tajima Nama Nama Sake. The mouthfeel is of course fruity and delicious! I prefer this one just as a sake. I thought the sweetness would fight each other when paired with crab, but it didn't. It was delicious after all.
I had tasted it at the liquor store during the day, and it was so good that I was considering buying it, but then I had other plans, so I had to leave for a while. I promised the liquor store owner that I would definitely come back, but my plans were running quite late and it was dusk when I got back. I thought they might have sold out, but I was super lucky to find only one bottle left! It was not from ......, but from Totsan, who had kept it for me. I'm sure I've encountered many rude people who wouldn't come back with a verbal promise, but this was the moment when I realized that this sense of duty and humanity is one of life's greatest pleasures. To top it all off, Totsan's feelings were added to the sake, and it was the best sake I have ever tasted.
If you are ever in Kinosaki Onsen, Hyogo, stop by Okamoto Sake Shop. You will meet a pleasant sake lover, Mr. Okamoto. It's a once-in-a-lifetime encounter.
It is light and dry. I was told it was limited to 1,200 bottles and bought it immediately. I was told that it was made to go well with crab, and it certainly does. The synergistic effect of washing away the tartness of crab makes it possible to drink as much as you want and eat crab. It is quite crisp and clear, so it goes well with a full-bodied food.
Light on the palate, with just the right amount of acidity, a fruity taste that spreads to the palate, and the unique "shwash" sensation of nama sake. It is perfect in every way! I wonder if this is what 2023 will taste like. I will never have the same taste again from the first pressing, so I want to savor the taste of this year's sake. I wonder what it will taste like next year. Wakabisu Sake Brewery is my hometown sake and my favorite sake. Without a doubt, it is the best sake in all of Japan.
Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Nama Sake. This bottle was recommended to me by a shopkeeper when I stopped by the brewery. As a lover of dry sake, I thought it might be a little too dry for my taste, but of course it was not.
It is called "white grape" and has a characteristic grape flavor in the aftertaste. It is more like "grape sourness" than grape flavor. Anyway, rather than the sweetness of rice, you can feel the fruity flavor, the sweetness of eating grapes and a little bit of sourness, which is what you get when you eat grapes. The illustration on the package is also interesting and different from the usual sake.
Junmai Daiginjo. Despite having the unique aroma of an old sake, the taste is clean and refreshing. There is no unpleasant sake smell at all, only a subtle aroma that lingers in the mouth. If you keep sipping and sipping, it will be gone before you know it. Old sake is expensive, but it is possible to drink it once in a while.
Junmai Ginjo with no filtration and no additives.
The sweetness of the taste is not half as sweet as it goes down your throat. Sugar! It's like "sugar". It is one of my favorite fruity sweet sake. It has a gorgeous aroma like green apple, and the cool, fruity taste happens to be written on the bottle.
The mouthfeel is quite refreshing. The moment it is swallowed, the umami flavor spreads in the mouth. It is hard to believe that brewing alcohol is used. The mild sweetness of the rice can be fully enjoyed.
The sweetness of the rice fills your mouth the moment you take a sip. Smooth texture on the tongue. I am so frustrated that I don't have the vocabulary to describe this deliciousness, but I can tell you that this is the first pressing! I hope you can understand if I say, "This is the first pressing!
After all, sake from my hometown is the best!
I was told that it is officially classified as other miscellaneous sake because it is not licensed as sake.
Slightly carbonated. The flavor of rice malt comes through with a thump rather than the flavor of rice. It is more like amazake with alcohol than sake. Of course, it is not as sweet as amazake, but if I had to choose one over the other, which would it be? This is the first time I have tasted it, and it is delicious.
Umami, then acidity. The pleasantness that passes through the nose is stronger than that of other sake. I don't think that is the reason for the name, but it is similar to the aroma of flowers spreading to the nose.
Harvest moon. Nabeshima is a sake that leaves no aftertaste or clutter, leaving only the umami behind. It hit me right in the middle of my taste buds and is one of the best quality sake I have ever had in my life. Umashii!
