Fruity like ranch, yet refreshing.
Once again, I felt that I like fruity flavors. Although this sake is from Mie, I bought it at a liquor store in Aizu.
Sake from the Inawashiro region of Fukushima Prefecture, given to me by my brother-in-law.
First, I drink it at room temperature.
(Only in the afternoon😋).
As is typical of Fukushima sake, it has an elegant aroma and a fruity sweetness, but it is a delicious sake with a more refreshing taste and a robust flavor.
Afterwards, I was told that it tastes better chilled, so I put it in the fridge.
I had it for supper... 👌👌.
It is very tasty and has a good aftertaste.
It was a sake that would go well with yakitori (sauce). I'm sure it would go well with yakitori (sauce) 🍶🍗.
I finally was able to purchase a bottle of O, which I have been wanting to try for years. After much deliberation, asking the liquor store staff which type I should try, I settled on the Black Label Rough Ride.
It has a fizzy, fruity, but more of a rice flavor with a clean aftertaste. This is delicious 😋.
The store owner told me that my first "O" should be at least a junmai sake. Someday I would like to try the gold label Junmai Daiginjo.
There was a chrysanthemum in a regular chain bar near my office. I thought it was unusual for a chain izakaya, so I ordered it without thinking.
It has a good balance of sweetness, umami, and sourness. It is smooth and very tasty 😋.
I would definitely like to buy it at a liquor store next time.
Yamamoto Sunshine Yellow
Limited time offer
Sunshine Yellow was just in stock yesterday at Isetan Shinjuku, and I couldn't help but buy it.
It had been seven years since I last drank Yamamoto. I drank it at a bar in Akita while eating Kiritanpo hot pot.
This time, I bought a limited time only bottle called Sunshine Yellow.
The explanation on the back label is quite unique. Yamamoto seems to have recently added this kind of explanation.
The first sip is really fresh. It is the best sake to drink chilled.
It is refreshing and has a good balance of acidity and umami.
It is best to drink it in an air-conditioned room in the hot summer while eating fish!
It is summer, but I remember drinking Yamamoto while eating Kiritanpo.
This was the first time I purchased sake from Hokkaido. It was very clear and fresh, with umami and sweetness.
This sake is more delicate than the grandeur of Hokkaido.
Delicious 😋.
There was a liquor store that opened in January and I had been meaning to go there for a while.
I finally made it there and bought a bottle of Kaze no Mori. There was a wide variety of Kaze no Mori, but since it was my first time drinking it, I started with 657, which is considered the standard.
There was so much carbonation that the lid flew off when I opened it.
The first sip was fruity, but the more fizzy it was, the fresher it tasted. Even my wife, who is not a fan of sake, said it was delicious.
I bought it because it was sold in cans, which I thought was unusual.
It was more fruity and shwashy than the tazake I drank on a business trip to Aomori about 10 years ago.
It was delicious.
I had wanted to drink Houou Mita for a long time.
As soon as I opened the bottle, it had a fruity, melon-like aroma that lived up to its reputation.
It is a delicious sake with a hint of sourness and bitterness 🍶😋.
We had it with steamed clams on May 5. Actually, clams are served on March 3... 🥴.
I had checked to buy it during my trip to Kanazawa, but when I went to the store, I couldn't find it, so I ended up buying it online.
At 9% alcohol by volume, it is light as a food sake, so it goes very well with sake. However, when I want to drink sake, it is not enough.
However, it is delicious.
It is good for those who don't like sake.
Naohiko Noguchi Laboratory
I went on a trip to Kanazawa and bought this wine because I enjoyed it so much when I drank it at an izakaya (Japanese bar).
I chose the small bottle because I wanted to drink more than just Junmai Daiginjo, so I also purchased other types of Junmai Daiginjo with different rice polishing ratios.
I have been wanting to drink it for a while and finally got it.
As its reputation suggests, this sake is very easy to drink and delicious.
It was light, but I could feel the umami of the rice.
I also enjoyed it with sashimi.
