Purchased at Seijo Ishii. Nice scent. I want to smell it all the time. It tastes sweet, but not too sweet, like grapes. It is strange that it is made from rice. The aftertaste, however, is very much sake. It is delicious and not too light. It seems to go well with ankimo (liver) and other dishes. I will try it with my wife, who is not a fan of sake.

Fresh and sweet aroma of citrus fruits. After the aroma of koji (malted rice) in the mouth, a piquant spiciness hits the tongue. It has a satisfying Junmai taste, but is easy to drink. It goes well with sashimi. Recently, when I drink sake outside, I drink to the drunkenness level of drinking at home and end up missing the train, so I prefer to drink sake carefully at home.

One of a set of 5 bottles purchased online. It too has the feel of Junmai, but it has a firmness that is not Daiginjo-esque. I wonder if my image of daiginjo is different? It is spicy when you put it in your mouth, but at the end, it disappears leaving a sweet taste. It made me want to eat shime saba (mackerel).

Sake from Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture. It has a fruity aroma like banana and pear. It is easy to drink and after passing down the throat, it disappears as if after drinking water. It is easy to drink even for those who do not like sake, but it is so easy to guzzle that it would be a waste to finish all 720 ml at once if the container is not changed. It is unusual that the lid is not screwed on even though it is 720 ml.

It seems to go well with Japanese dishes such as simmered fish and stewed potatoes, but also with country dishes. I will request it tomorrow.
