Today I was looking forward to Kido's nigori sake. The aroma is similar to that of amazake. When you pour it into a glass, you can see the carbonation. It tastes like amazake, but without the alcohol. It has a sweet taste, but there is a bitter aftertaste, so it does not taste sweet. The snack is pork tenderloin that I bought at Seven. The orikori makes it possible to enjoy oily, strong-tasting, and spicy foods without feeling bloated or greasy. It was delicious again today.

Today I drank Kaze no Mori no Omachi 807. I thought it was sweet because the description on the back of the bottle placed it on the sweet and complex side, but when I drank it, I found that it had sweetness in the back but strong acidity and bitterness, making it refreshing to drink. I was curious, so I heated it up a little and drank it, and the sweetness that was hidden by the sourness and bitterness came out. It has a soft and mild taste. Personally, I think I like it better when it is heated up. Again, we enjoyed it very much.

Today I drank a classic Omachi from Sentori, which I have been interested in for a long time. For snacks, I had some cheaply-priced sea bream stewed in soy sauce and sake. It was delicious! I can feel the outline of old-fashioned sake, perhaps because it is a classic sake. However, I also felt a refreshing sweetness in it. The sweetness is also accompanied by an acidity that leaves a nice aftertaste. My impression is that it is a very easy to drink version of traditional sake. I think it is a good next step for those who can drink sweet sake but are not good at drinking traditional spicy sake. It is a sake that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with a meal, and I feel that Sentori is a good choice if you are having trouble choosing a drink. We enjoyed it today as well. Today I drank a bottle of Hiran Infinity! Perhaps because it is made with beer yeast, the aroma seemed to be a mixture of beer aroma and a sweet aroma like cotton candy. When I drank it, it was sweet and delicious. It tastes quite sweet, but the sourness and chocolate-like bitterness crisp up the sweetness and make it easy to drink. I checked and it seems to go well with cheesecake, so I will buy some tomorrow. Again, I had a great time drinking this sake. Thank you very much to the sake brewery and the liquor store!

Today I had Sanuki Kuraudai. I had heard that it looked like calpis, so I tried it and found it to be a combination of calpis and grapefruit. When you put it in your mouth, there is a sweet sake-like aroma at first, followed by sweetness and sourness. The sweetness is strong, but the sourness and the bitterness that comes at the end seemed to adjust it so that it is not too sweet. If I let people drink it without calling it sake, some of them might not even know what it is. By the way, snacks today were unbaked mixed nuts and chocolate. The chocolate was not good. As for nuts, I felt that walnuts and cashews with high fat content were suitable for me. I enjoyed them today as well! If you have any interesting drinks, please let me know!

Today I had Kurobekyo, which my brother gave me as a souvenir from Toyama. The aroma is weak. It has the image of traditional sake made a little easier to drink. When you drink it, you feel sweetness for a moment, but soon you feel alcohol and bitterness. However, the feeling is weak, so it is easy to drink. As for the snack, I first had some fish paste, and then I paired it with some pickled Chinese cabbage flavored with soy sauce that I made myself. Personally, I felt that the pickles neutralized the alcohol and gave the sake a sweeter aftertaste than drinking the sake by itself. I felt that this is an interesting sake that becomes even easier to drink depending on how it is paired.

Today we had Haneya Kouki. It is an easy-drinking sake. I felt the sweetness, but it was not too strong, probably because the sake flavor tightened up right after the sweetness. It felt like it was made with great care. I tried it with some kinpei (flattened lotus root), which was just around the corner, and I think it went well with it. It was easy to feel the sweetness of the sparkling fire when I drank it after eating it. I enjoy looking for sake and snacks, but please let me know if you have any snacks that go well with kouki.

Today, we had Kutouryuu Doroguchi. Delicious! The aroma is fruit, almost banana-like, and when you drink it, you immediately feel a refreshing sweetness, followed by a light bitterness and sourness. The overall impression is crisp and easy to drink, with the sweetness disappearing quickly. I had it with creamy fried cheese, a souvenir from Toyama, which I had left at home, and it went well with it! It goes well with fish paste. The sweetness of Kutouryuu can be felt well when paired with it. I bought a small bottle of 300 because it was a trial, but a larger bottle would have been fine. I think even sake beginners and those who don't like sake can enjoy this one. I wish I had drunk it when I was younger. I was able to drink good sake today, thank you!

Happy New Year! For my first sake of the new year, I had a bottle of Kijoyu, which I bought last year and had been looking forward to drinking until today. It was quite thick when I poured it. I was surprised when I drank it because it had a nice aroma. I thought it was rum raisin. Is this sake sake? It was like that. As the temperature rose, the sourness and bitterness diminished and the sweetness became easier to taste and drink. I can't drink it as a food sake, but if you want to pair it with something easy to drink on its own, I think chocolate black would be a good choice. I honestly thought it was amazing that such a sake could be made from rice and water. It was a great feeling to start the New Year with a good sake.
