Hakurei Shuzo has been in business for 190 years and brews both sweet and dry sake with low-hardness, ultra-soft water. I had been curious about this sake for a long time and found it for sale at Ricaman. It has a pleasant sweetness and acidity. It is fruity and very tasty. In April 2023, it won a gold medal at the Feminaries World Wine Competition, selected by female wine experts from around the world.

This stylish sake was purchased in Shigaraki when I visited the Shigaraki Artists' Market during Golden Week.

May 14 (Sun.), Kyoto Sake Dropkick event. We had delicious sake with a rich rice flavor and excellent wagyu beef steak that was so tender it melted in your mouth. After that, we went to 9 more places to drink and got completely drunk. I hope to go back next year.

Sake from my hometown Sano, Ai no Sawa. A friend of mine in Sano sent me two one-bottle bottles. For the first time in a long time, I found a sake I wanted to drink every day. Or rather, I was so happy to have a lot of it that I drank it every day. It was delicious. I looked at the label and saw that the manufacturer was a different company, Meiri Shuzui. When we lived in Sano, my mother had visited the brewery of Aizawa Sake Brewery. I felt a bit sad.

A long time ago, I had a nigori sake that didn't suit my palate and I was very conscious of my dislike for it, but nigori sake is actually a strong point. Good sake will surely lead to heaven, and will lead to man. I wonder if it is written on all Soukuu sake. First, you drink the clear top clear sake. It is slightly sweet. It is slightly sweet with a tangy acidity. Ah, it is delicious. I let the orikori (a drizzle) flow over the top. It becomes gentle. It is very delicious. We bought it at the brewery of Souku, which Hirupeko-san told us about. There were many customers, so we will compare the tastes next time. They kindly taught us how to drink and we enjoyed it. While wandering around Arashiyama, I found a store owned by Tanzan Sake Brewery. This sake is priced at 11,000 yen for a 4-goupe bottle, but a trial 1-goupe bottle costs 1,320 yen. I managed to taste the luxury of affordability. I sipped a single sake bottle over the course of three days. It was delicious.

Today I participated in an event called Fushimi Baru. The first place I visited was Fujiwara, a restaurant with the atmosphere of a renovated brothel. This Eikun is dry but mild, with just the right amount of rice-like flavor. I love all Eikun. We enjoyed it with excellent sashimi. It was an enjoyable day.

Good acidity, good sweetness, and especially strong umami. I wonder if this rich umami is a characteristic of Tamagawa. I don't know if there is any difference between this wine and the Gohyakumangoku I had a while ago, but I loved them both very much.
