Hana-kyun! The name is so cute 🌸
When I asked for a recommendation at a restaurant in Tokyo, I was served a local sake, and I felt a connection. I went to a shrine for marriage, so maybe I got a connection with sake.
I was a little nervous for a moment because of the appearance of the ooze, but it was surprisingly refreshing! It seems spring-like to me.
It was a yakitori restaurant, but the taste did not clash with the meat.
I was given a bottle of this sparkling sake at a farewell party for my part-time job, and I have to say that the Uguisu-chan on the label is very charming.
I've always had the image that sparkling sake is easy to drink, but this seems to have more of a sake feel to it (I don't know, I've never had many sparkling sake).
(I've never had a sparkling before, so I don't know.) The carbonation was less than the alcohol, and the unique flavor of the alcohol was more pronounced.
It was delicious, but I think I prefer non-sparkling sake.
By the way, I've never had a normal garden uguisu, so I'd like to try one.
The kind of sake you drink on the rocks!
On a hot day, when I drank it ice cold in a wine glass, I could drink it like juice!
The label is summery and good🍧!
Sake breweries in Kyoto seem to be conservative (I'm biased), but I love that they make sake with such a playful spirit!
Travel to Tendo
I found this sake at a liquor store of Dewazakura Sake Brewery, and decided to buy it immediately because the package was too cute. Not only was the label cute, but it also tasted sweet and very easy to drink, making it a good introduction to sake. (I wanted to drink it, but I fell asleep, so I asked my friend what he thought.)
I was attracted by the package and the name "Nandemo". Western-style rice cake with a meal at a Japanese inn on a trip to Tendo.
It was claimed to be easy to drink, but I didn't really like it. Maybe it's because I'm not the type of person who likes sake that has a strong sweetness from the rice but no alcohol.
I drank it between chilled and room temperature, so maybe if I tried it at a different temperature, I would have a different impression!
On a trip to Sendai. I don't remember much about the taste.
I vaguely remember that it tasted pretty sharp...?
I don't remember what it tasted like, but I do remember thinking that it tasted as good as Tohoku sake! That's the rice area!
Obanzai Izakaya in Pontocho
I was drunk by the time I drank it, so I don't know much about it, but the proprietress chose it to go with the food.
It didn't have the fruity taste of the so-called easy-drinking kind, but more of a robust taste.
But for some reason, it was very easy to drink, and since it was so light, I drank a lot.
When I paired it with the albacore tempura, it was heaven on earth!
Limited to the liquor store next to the brewery, this raw sake is bottled on the spot.
I didn't ask for a detailed explanation, but I was attracted by the limited edition, so I was worried that it would be too strong, but the taste was beyond my imagination!
It was very fruity and fizzy, so it was easy to drink, but since it was undiluted sake, the rice spread in my mouth and it was very thick down my throat.
The alcohol content was a bit high, but it was so refreshing that I couldn't stop drinking it.
All in all, it was a delicious sake with a premiere feel that was perfect for year-end drinking. It was a bit of a hassle to bring it home (it's fizzy and might spill, so don't lay it down! ) (it was also knocked over during the baggage check), but it's a sake I'd like to buy again for a special occasion...
