I bought this local sake when I visited Kashihara, Nara Prefecture.
The brand name is "Izase Otoko," but I have no connection to it...
It is a junmai sake with a rice polishing ratio of 65%.
It has a simple, unadorned taste that only junmai sake can have. The mouthfeel is mellow.
The more you drink, the more the flavor of the rice seeps in.
It has nothing to do with success in life, but it is a taste that will make you feel at ease.

We got this one at Kamazen near Kashihara Jingu-mae Station 🍶.
I didn't go there this time, but this sake is from a brewery in Imai-cho, Kashihara City, where the old townscape remains.
The aroma on the nose is somewhat like the sauce of Mitarashi dumplings.
The first sip has a deep sweetness and a full-bodied umami flavor.
The aroma is like that of Mitarashi dumplings.
It is a bit peculiar, but it is a mellow umakuchi, a genre that I personally like.
I only went around famous sake breweries that are available in Tokyo on this trip, but I would have liked to drink more locally consumed brands such as Izuseio.
I didn't have enough time and liver to do that though😅.
The third picture is the head mound of Soga Iruka, who was killed during the Taika Reformation, and behind him is Amagashi Hill.
It is located very close to Asukadera Temple.

Alcohol: 15 degrees Celsius
Fruity aroma, classic taste when you drink it. Clear and beautiful taste.
After a few hours, the sweetness comes out and it is delicious ♡.
On the second day, more umami than sweetness.
Longer aftertaste than yesterday.
I preferred the first day when I felt the sweetness.
I was a little sad to see the Daiginjyo I had a chance to taste was more fruity sweet and umami, though it was unavoidable.

I went to Imai-cho, Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture, for a long-awaited visit!
Imai-cho has been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings and has the largest number of traditional buildings in Japan!
Kawai Sake Brewery is also an important cultural asset, and you can see the residence of a wealthy merchant.
The tools used in the past are on display in the back of the building. The brewery staff gave us a detailed explanation of the history of the brewery.
The sake forest is made of cedar from the Ojin Shrine, the god of sake brewing. It looked as if the power of the god resided in it ✨.
The sake tasting set includes three types of sake selected by the brewer for 500 yen. You will receive either a sake cup or a Masu!
Daiginjo-Isuze Otoko: Gorgeous aroma, sweet flavor, and easy to drink.
Honjozo Genshu Izuseio - Classic taste. It has a classic taste with the richness of a pure sake!
Fresh, sweet and refreshing, with a more modern taste. The easiest to drink. ❣️
I wanted the unfiltered junmai namaishu, but I bought the daiginjo sold in small bottles because it was still a walk in the park. The price was more reasonable than the Daiginjo sold at Kikisake because it had less alcohol!
There used to be nine breweries in this town, but this is the only one left. I can't help but hope that it will last forever 🙏.
