Stroll in Imai-cho Part 1
I went to Imai-cho, Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture, for a long-awaited visit!
Imai-cho has been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings and has the largest number of traditional buildings in Japan!
Kawai Sake Brewery is also an important cultural asset, and you can see the residence of a wealthy merchant.
The tools used in the past are on display in the back of the building. The brewery staff gave us a detailed explanation of the history of the brewery.
The sake forest is made of cedar from the Ojin Shrine, the god of sake brewing. It looked as if the power of the god resided in it ✨.
The sake tasting set includes three types of sake selected by the brewer for 500 yen. You will receive either a sake cup or a Masu!
Daiginjo-Isuze Otoko: Gorgeous aroma, sweet flavor, and easy to drink.
Honjozo Genshu Izuseio - Classic taste. It has a classic taste with the richness of a pure sake!
Fresh, sweet and refreshing, with a more modern taste. The easiest to drink. ❣️
I wanted the unfiltered junmai namaishu, but I bought the daiginjo sold in small bottles because it was still a walk in the park. The price was more reasonable than the Daiginjo sold at Kikisake because it had less alcohol!
There used to be nine breweries in this town, but this is the only one left. I can't help but hope that it will last forever 🙏.

Good morning.
It's fun to walk around such a historic town... Hikone City's castle town and other places...
I haven't been to Kashihara since I was in junior high school when I rented a bicycle to go around the Kashihara Shrine and the tombs around Asuka 🤔.

What a nice name "Shusei Otoko" 😁.
Kashihara is a bit far away so I have not been there yet, but it looks like a fun place to stroll around with its atmosphere 😊The building of the tourist association was a hit 😆.

Good morning, Kozo-san. ☀️
I was in junior high school 😊Nara is fascinating because it still retains the old days. ❣️ I thought it would be nice to rent a bike and tour the sake breweries, but you can't drink and drive 😁.

Jive, I'm surprised you were able to read this 😳 I tried, but it's totally impossible 🤣.
It looks like it was a museum in the Meiji era and a town hall in the Showa era. I think the name makes you want to drink it to get luck 😆 I guess the brewer's strategy worked 🤣.

Hi Pon, good evening here too.
Nara has as many sake breweries as Shiga. The Kawai Sake Brewery in Imai-cho is not only a sake brewery, but also a great place for a field trip.
I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm glad you enjoyed it too. ‼️
