It was recommended by the manager at an izakaya in Karatsu City, so we had it. It was my first time to drink Nishi no Seki, but it was full of freshness and went very well with the squid from Yobuko.
The second drink of the day is also a challenging one.
It is a cup made with white malted rice. It is a finished product that is hard to believe that it is a test brew, and it feels lighter than the usual holy brew.
The first drink of the day. The owner told me about the sake in this bottle, so I ordered it right away.
It is a limited edition blended sake, so it has a slightly more complex nuance than the usual Koei Kiku. This is the first blended sake, and I am curious to see how it develops in the future.
The fourth (and last) drink of the day was also very impressive from the outside. Pineapple aroma from the sake (surprise).
This kind of flexible thinking is good.
This sake is brewed with Kitashizuku, Hokkaido's preferred rice for sake brewing. It is easy to drink with just the right amount of acidity. Delicious!
