Wa-Wa-Wa.
This is the first time I have tasted Wawa, brewed by the Furuya Sake Brewery in Saku, with the hope that it will make you feel relaxed and at peace with the Japanese spirit.
It has a muscat-like aroma, and when you put it in your mouth, you can feel a slight chilliness, which is pleasant, despite the fact that it is fire-aged. It has a mild sweetness and umami, and its characteristic feature is an elegant acidity, which together with bitterness, tightens the aftertaste and makes it delicious!
Hi YSTJ 😃
I just realized that you've crossed the kilometer mark ♬! Congratulations on your 400 check-in ㊗️㊗️㊗️㊗️ before one 🎉We also had a delicious Wawa on our Shinshu sake trip last year👍
It has a very beautiful sake quality, but is full of umami and very tasty!
It is delicious on its own, but I think I prefer it as a food sake.
The alu flavor spreading through the nostrils like a whisky is also good and well balanced!
waah waah! (crying)
Sweet aroma. Slightly effervescent. Great flavor. Salivating. It may be sweet, but it is umami. A little bitterness at the end. Anyway, it has a strong flavor. Even when it is combined with strong flavored dishes, the umami is assertive. I like it. I love it.
Purchased at a sake brewery.
Near a big Aeon store in Saku. It is a rare pattern that sake only available at the distributor can also be purchased at the direct sales store. The representative brand of Furuya Sake Brewery, "Fukayamazakura" is for the general public, while "Wawa" is for the enthusiasts.
Today
Enjoying Shinshu's local sake, Wawa Wawa Special Junmai from Furuya Sake Brewery.
The aroma is citrusy.
The taste has an initial sourness and a clean aftertaste.
It is delicious!
It's delicious!
It has just the right amount of umami right from the start, and keeps that umami all the way through, until the umami fades out and the pungent spiciness gradually remains.
The haze is not so much that it bothers you, and you can take it as umami without any muddiness.
This is perfect with chicken sashimi!
Furuya Sake Brewery, Saku City, Nagano, Japan Wawa Special Junmai Saku Yeast
Wawa Wawa is a really aromatic, acidic, and refreshing sake.
It is said that the yeast was isolated from local cosmos.
It tastes even better when you drink it with that kind of poop in your mouth!
Wawa Nama-no-shu Kasumi Junmai Ginjo Miyamanishiki
Good mouthfeel and easy to drink
Sweet and fresh with a slight bitterness in the aftertaste.
There is a slight bitterness in the aftertaste.
But it has a nice sharpness.
Miyamazakura Junmai Ginjo ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 100% Miyamanishiki from Nagano Prefecture
Polishing ratio 55% alc15
Slightly dry and refreshing.
Tonight I feel uncomfortable with my taste.
Maybe my tongue is surprised because I haven't had sake in about a month😅.
Maybe it's because I have a cold from fatigue😅.
In any case, this is the last sake for tonight.
