The aroma is a sweet ginjo aroma💜You can tell just by the aroma how good it tastes😋The initial attack is a dark taste of wasanbon sugar, followed by a firm spiciness that is delicious‼️It is not an easy-drinking sake, but a sake with a full-on umami with a lot of gusto.
The fridge was getting lonely, so it was time to go to the liquor store.
I quickly found the sake I wanted, and as I rummaged around the store, there it was. A bottle of my favorite.
This year, the rice is less intense.
The aroma is still restrained.
Sweetness is also restrained, but it may be just right for this sake rice. Light richness. It is difficult to describe, but please forgive me. The acidity is added in a nice salty way, and the spiciness finishes it off well at the end.
This may be my favorite of the year.
We ran out of kata no sakura on Sunday, so we opened the next bottle.
So yesterday I started drinking a bottle of W from Watanabe Shuzoten, a new brewery to me!

The first day
First, the aroma. It has a sweet aroma.

The mouthfeel is refreshing and easy to drink.

The last taste is slightly spicy, which is refreshing but stimulates various tastes and is delicious.
The second day
The fruity sweetness has increased.
After that, it shifts to bitterness.
I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.
The lingering aftertaste is gentle bitterness and spiciness.
The smooth mouthfeel makes us feel the sweetness and umami more.
I have the impression that this sake is sweeter than yesterday's.
Well, we have been charged with sake since the beginning of the week, so we must work hard again from tomorrow!

Watanabe Shuzo's W series I wanted to try.
I couldn't choose which one I liked best, so I went with a rare variety called Koranto!
It was a drink with a rich flavor that I could almost get addicted to.
It's the middle day of the week... and I've had my eye on this W✨ from Watanabe Sake Brewery for a while now, but never got around to buying it... so I got it the other day... and now I'm opening it 🤣.
This gorgeous sparkly labeling caught my eye before I even opened it 👀.
When you open the bottle... it smells strongly like pineapple 🍍 and is intriguing even before you drink it 🤤.
Pouring it into the glass, the aroma is even better🆗🙆.
As you take a sip, you can feel the sweetness and bitterness with a hint of pizzazz of the raw sake 🙂↕️
The taste is strong at the moment of drinking and the pull is rather refreshing 🤔.
Before I drank it, I thought it would be a bit more fruity without bitterness... but the aftertaste might have a bit of bitter peculiarity😅
In general, it's a fruity balanced drink for before and after dinner 😊.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's taste change 😋.
Day 2: 🗒️
The aroma is still reminiscent of pineapple🍍 and pear🍐 🤤.
More bitter and alu than more flavorful... 😅.
Personally I think I liked it better the first day 😊.
Gifu Sake
W (W) Yamadanishiki 45 Junmai Unfiltered Nama-shu
Is this the first sake from Gifu? Sake from western Japan is not easily available in Ibaraki, so I try to buy it when I find it. I bought this sake at Hosono Shoten in Saitama.
When you open the package, there is a gorgeous fruit aroma, and when you put it in your mouth, the strong sweetness goes right through. The lack of bitterness and miscellaneous tastes may be due to the 45% rice polishing rate. The taste is more pronounced than sake made with Ogawa yeast from Ibaraki. The alcohol content of 17 degrees Celsius is very good. It is extremely tasty.
