This is the first one in this series in many years.
I don't remember much about it, although my own comments from last time indicate that I didn't like it very much.
I am half anxious and half hopeful because this year's taste is quite different.
The color is almost colorless. The aroma is not flashy either. It has the aroma of so-called "junmai" (pure rice).
As expected, it does not have the rich sweetness that I remember from before, but I first felt a tingling sensation on the tip of my tongue. Then, sweetness and sourness in the middle. In the second half, there is a bitter taste followed by a pungent taste.
The sweetness and pungency are strong, but they are balanced by the acidity.
I had been reluctant to buy Kame-no-o because I did not like it very much, but I think this one is good.
Well, I think the main reason is that my tastes have changed.
As for what to pair it with, I think it should be something well-seasoned and strong.
The aroma is fresh and fruity❗️As you take a sip, a tangy, raw and astringent taste comes after a dense texture on the tongue❗️Followed by a refreshing fruity sweet aroma that leaves your nose❗️Great good sake that is also great as a food sake❤️
Sake Koi Japan No.6.
Gifu Sake following to Imi Sake!
On this day, Gifu sake made its debut twice in a row.
It was so sweet! It is beyond sweet and delicious.
It is sweetness dyed in red.
It was so sweet that I replaced it with drunken whale. (laugh).
This is your first Jigokuro W, Watanabe Shuzoten's Doublue.
It is a 100% Dewa Sanzu 100% Junmai Unfiltered Unrefined Nama Sake from Yamagata, which is a lot of information, so I had high expectations for it.
Opening the bottle is quiet, but there is a nice "tok-tok" sound when pouring into a glass.
The taste is light despite the fact that it is a nama sake. There is almost no acidity, and the fresh sweetness comes in softly with a little bitterness. The bitterness can be accentuated by the coldness of the sake, so pour it into a glass and warm it slightly with your hand to soften the bitterness. The alcohol content is 17%, but is it that much? It is a bit bitter. We enjoyed it with a side dish of sweet sardine stewed in ume plum paste.
Tonight is the first appearance of W in a long time. When I opened the bottle, the sweet aroma of fresh fruit was irresistible! The aroma alone made me drool in my mouth (lol). It has a firm sweetness, but it has a nice sharpness to it, so it doesn't linger in the mouth and goes down your throat refreshingly. Once again, delicious! My favorite shredded cabbage with mayo and Tabasco is also good, adding to the bitterness of the cabbage and the sweetness of the sake. The salted island rakkyo (Japanese leeks) is also good, as the salt and the smell of the leeks bring out the fruity flavor of the sake! The black pepper grilled tuna kama (kama of the tuna) washed away the fat and spiciness of the sake, and I couldn't find anything wrong with it. I can't find anything wrong with the leftover fried tuna, which is arranged in a gratin style! The flavor was as robust as the sweet andansou. It was a great night!
