Fruity, tasty, and delicious with a touch of alcohol. There is not much sweetness. The aftertaste is clean and refreshing with no aftertaste at all, which is something I have never experienced before.
I like it best when it is freshly opened and slightly carbonated.
I've been wanting to try this sake for a while.
I bought it for the first time.
The taste is sweet and delicious in the mouth when served cold, and the lingering aftertaste has the strength of a pure sake. It has a heavy and robust taste.
I thought it would be good to warm it up if it was this rich, so I tried heating it up, but it was lukewarm, which softened the mouthfeel a little while maintaining the rich, sweet flavor.
It was warmed up to lukewarm, but the taste softened a bit without losing its rich, sweet flavor.
Yamama Special Junmai Sake Unfiltered Unrefined Genshu
I bought a bottle of Yamama in Niigata as a souvenir 🍶.
The aroma is fragrant and gaseous due to the low-temperature bottle-firing process, yet the flavor is thick and rich.
It is moderately dry with good acidity.
Delicious 😊.
A parade of Kanji characters for this Urayama limited edition, unfiltered, raw sake, Junmai Nakadori direct-fermented.
Slightly effervescent, it is anyway sweet, and at 17%, it has a solid drinking experience. And with a rice polishing ratio of 70%, it has a complex sweetness that comes through quickly. It is very tasty!
The aroma is really nice.
It has a fresh and shwashy feeling that is unique to directly pumped sake.
The flavor is concentrated. The sweetness is also felt, which is great!
Sake from Niigata
Yamama Junmai Ginjo 18 Nakagori Direct-fermented Genshu
I wanted to drink this sake. It is called Yamama. Like Sohno-Kangiku and Eiko-Fuji, Yamama is not available all year round, so you have to buy it when you find it. The aroma is gorgeous. In the mouth, it tastes beautiful and elegant, as is typical of Niigata sake. Rather than emphasizing sweetness and acidity, it is well-balanced and you can taste the umami of the rice. It is better to drink it with sashimi than on its own.
Degree of liking 8/10
Sake in Niigata
Sake rice: Koshitanrei
Polishing rice 55
Alcohol 16%.
Slightly grape-like ginjo aroma.
Slightly fresh gasiness despite being fire-aged.
Thick mouthfeel.
Slowly sharp.
Slightly smoky aftertaste. Interesting!
It's a sake that you can't help but drink in a calm, relaxed mood.
I think a bottle will be gone soon.
I visited Niigata Daiichi Sake Brewery to see if it was available, but the brewery was unable to purchase it, so I was directed to a special distributor.
It is delicious only because it is a super-limited product. LOL!
It goes well with sushi.
