Purchased in November 2023. Very drinkable and tasty with a good balance of floral and weight. I looked at Tamura Sake Brewery's online site to buy another bottle, but it was already sold out. Too bad.
Record of Evening Drinks
[Purchase History]
Purchased at a nearby supermarket (different store from the last time).
There was a shelf of a local sake brewery, so I bought the smallest amount I could drink.
It is from a sake brewery about 2 to 30 minutes away by car.
[Impressions]
It was not as refreshing as the Hakkaisan I drank the other day, but rather it left a slight taste of sake, or rice flavor, or something else that I can't quite put my finger on.
It's not that I don't like it, in fact, I feel again that I am drinking sake! It is not bad at all, in fact, it makes you realize once again that you are drinking sake.
Drinking water resets you.
The opposite of "refreshing" would be "mellow". I guess that would be the opposite of "refreshing.
I bought this sake because I wanted to try a local sake. I had an image that sake is made in the area where good rice is produced. I was surprised and grateful that there is a place near where I live that continues to produce such delicious sake.
I am thinking about trying sake from Tokyo for my next drink.
Classic with change
The nose is reminiscent of dried grapes and old-fashioned sweetness like cemedine. From the sharp mouthfeel, the minerality and sweet spiciness are felt, and a hint of the same quality as the top notes rises. After a tangy and pungent sensation down the throat, it finishes with mellowness and bitterness.
Although the aroma is peculiar, the change in experience from mouthfeel to sharpness is interesting. There seems to be a difference in the way it is felt depending on the temperature range.
Purchased at Haneda Airport Terminal 3, one of a set of three. The lid is covered by an elegant and functional sake cup. My first Tokyo sake.
★★★★★
Mellow and rounded rice flavor. Slightly dry sake for a meal.
The label has a stylish Sky Tree and flower design. It would be good to take as a souvenir to people in the countryside.

It's like what I used to think was the smell of sake when I was little has turned into the taste of sake as well (vocabulary).
I usually prefer lighter or sweeter sake that is more pleasant on the palate, so I felt it had quite a punch 😅...
This sake is made by a brewer called Tamura Hanjuro Kinjo in Fussa City.
