When I arrived at the nearest station after leaving the venue of the Sake-1 Grand Prix, I found that the local liquor store was open, even though it was supposed to be closed on Sunday! I thought it was open on Sunday, which means it was a tasting event.
I walked in like I was being sucked in 🤣.
The wine tasting was mainly wine, but the sake tasting was by Kawashima Sake Brewery from Shiga.
I tasted 3 kinds of Pine Blossom and bought Jun Dai.
(I have already reviewed all but the Jun Dai in the past, so I'll skip that.
I heard they also do whiskey, but I didn't drink it 😅.
The person who came to the store seemed to be the person with the strong sense of taste that Nemuchi mentioned, but I couldn't tell the sense of taste 😅.
I got the impression that he talked a lot 😊.
After the tasting, I found some sake in the fridge that didn't look like they were for sale, so I asked the mom about it and she told me that her son had gone to the brewery to buy some sake as a hobby.
She asked me if I wanted some. She asked me if I wanted some and I decided to try some 😁.
Let's start with Kinkame!
It says it's dry, but it doesn't feel that dry.
It has a nice sharpness with a sweetness of rice.
The taste is light, easy to drink, and will be popular with everyone.
It may be obvious, but the impression is quite different from 80 and 90.
Personally, I prefer the sweeter 80 and 90.
Good evening bouken🍶.
If there was a tasting at a liquor store, all the people of Sakegawa would be sucked in 🤣.
I've only ever had 80, so I can't imagine a light Kinkame 🤔.
Good evening, Matsuchiyo 😃
According to Robin's post who drank from 20 to 90, 50-70 seems to be dry 🤔I was also surprised that it was light because I only know the 80-100 perverted zone 😳.
good evening bouken 🦉.
Tasting after the event🤣I'll have to stop by the local liquor store or something 😁.
I only drank at the tasting but the 60 was not impressive 🙏.
Hello Ponchan 😃
If it was only wine, I would have passed on it, but there was sake 😁.
I tried my best to come up with an impression, but to be honest, I wasn't too impressed either😅.
I have just returned home from the opening of Kinkame Kura and will describe the rest of the story.
Kinkame spring sake
Delicious 😊
Great spring-like good aroma, more like a flowery aroma than a ginjo-shu aroma ❗️
The taste seems clean and easy to drink, a strong sake with a strong character😃.
Nigori Sake
It's the type I like to be careful when opening the bottle 😁.
I drank it at the brewery and it was easy to drink with a good balance of sweetness and sourness.
The one I drank at the brewery was less gassy, but the one I brought home had a very dangerous aroma 🤣.
I will update separately when I open the bottle 😁.
Barrel sake
I have only seen it at the brewery, but you can drink it with a sake cup for 300 yen and refills after that for 100 yen!
I personally don't like the strong barrel aroma, but it has a moderate aroma and is easy to drink with a good mouthfeel. 👍
I may order it again next time. 😁
Also, I don't have a picture.
Asura
I like the sake that has a strong personality with a strong sake feel, surprisingly 🤣.
Junmai Daiginjo Aged Sake
It tastes like an aged sake.
It has little acidity, but I felt it had a strong alcohol taste.
It is expensive, so it is a sake to be drunk little by little with care.
That's all, I was too drunk to take pictures in the latter half of the day but it was a fun day. I was so drunk I couldn't take any pictures, but it was an enjoyable day.
Hi Robin 😀
I see that you attended the Shiga Sake Brewery Festival again 😀.
I haven't tasted Kinkame yet, but as a nigori sake lover, I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on home drinking 😇.
Hi Yasbay, ❗️
I went to the Shiga Sake Brewery Festival again 🤣.
I got hooked on Sake after Kinkame, so it's like an annual event for me 😁I'll report back on the drinking at home 👍.
This is the first time for me to taste Shiga's Golden Tortoise.
Yasu-san drank it recently, didn't he?
When I asked the master how it was, he said that he used to be a strong person, but he hadn't bought it for a long time (since before Corona).
The first aroma was slightly sweet like light brown sugar.
In the mouth, it has a juicy sweetness and richness like golden sugar candy.
Perhaps it is because all the rice is squeezed out of wooden vats, but it is very clean for a rice polishing ratio of 80.
While I was drinking, the master took a little taste.
The master said, "It's changed...😌".
He said it has become much more beautiful 😂.
This was delicious though 🍶✨
I wonder what golden tortoise was like once upon a time 🤔
Hello bouken 🌞.
The moment I drank it, I thought of golden sugar candy 😊.
It seems that you and bouken have similar taste preferences, so I wonder if we also have similar senses 🤔.
Good morning, Matsuchiyo 🐥.
I drank it in the beginning but I don't know how much it changed because I have a stupid tongue 😂I remember it was very sweet 😁100 is also getting better so maybe it's easier to drink overall 😊.
Hi Pon 🐓.
I could hardly taste any of the miscellaneous flavors that are common in low milled rice 🤔.
Oh, I'm not making it 🐓 because I don't remember Pon-chan 😅.
Hello, Matsuchiyo-san 🐢 I'm kind of glad you remember the millet sugar, golden sugar, beautiful feeling, and the taste of the other day as it was ✨.
The master commented that it was different, but my impression was that it was the rich sweetness that stands out in a beautiful drink 🐢.
Good evening, Yasusan!
I don't think the current look is bad either 🐢.
I think it was interesting because of its wildness 🤔.
I wish I could have tried it once.
I went to the Kinkame brewery opening: ❗️
Anyway, this time I focused on the differences in taste🤣I'm always so tongue-tied I can't tell!
F20: Fruity and aromatic, the most floral in comparison! It has a slightly yellowish color.
It's expensive, so you can't buy it very often.
F30: The color is more transparent than F20, the taste is darker, the aroma is good, but it is more subdued than F20.
Indigo 40 :normal tasty, good aroma.
Tastes as good as F20 and F30, personally I like this one the best in total👍.
Black 50 :like a dry version of 40, but easy to drink. This is another one I often buy personally😃.
60 :From here on, the aroma of rice becomes a little stronger, it's a ginjo but I think it's dry.
70:Maybe the hottest, it has a sake feel.
80 :This is the sweetest. In my opinion, it is the limit of sweetness and can be drunk without hesitation.
90 :It has a strong flavor, almost like an old sake, and is also sweet.
We also tasted some more, so we will keep you posted 😃.
By the way, I was lucky enough to win the 2nd prize in the rattleshooting 🎊.
This is also a result of my love for Kinkame 🤣.
Good evening, Robin. Kinkame no kurabiraki! I like it - regret not noticing 😭I want to aim for it next year😍I'm jealous of the crazy drinking competition and I'm also curious about the 2nd prize of the rattle drawing!
Hi Hirupeko, good evening. ❗️
Kinkame has a brewery open in the fall too, so you have a chance to visit during this year 👍.
I was lucky not to buy any spring sake as a prize for the rattles 😃.
Good morning Robin 🐥.
I can't get enough of Kinkame's brewery opening 😻and winning the spring sake! Congratulations 🎉!
I prefer white 80 since the beginning because I like sweet ❣️70 and the border between 80 is interesting 🙂.
Good morning, Ponchan-san. ❗️
I enjoyed the Tokaido sake brewery tour the other day, but it is also nice to stay in one place 👍I also like sweet 80 😃I was lucky to win the spring sake 🎊.
Longevity Golden Tortoise series of all "wooden tank bag pressing". This is a low-purity white 80.
When you put it in your mouth, it has a rich sweetness reminiscent of brown sugar. It spreads in the mouth with soft and gentle acidity, and the sweetness gradually eases in the finish, leaving a quiet aftertaste.
This is fantastic ✨✨
It's so crazy sweet that I've never had anything like it, but the fact that it's balanced with a gentle acidity makes it not cloying at all ✨✨✨.
I drank it while eating a meat carpaccio that was in front of me, and it didn't match well 😆, so I think you need to be creative with the pairing.
But even leaving that aside, it is delicious enough to drink on its own 🍶.
Hi Yasu-san 🐦.
Kin Kame's white is delicious 😊❣️ I think it might be my favorite in this series 😊It's acidic so it's not tart and mouthwatering as you say 😁 I'd like to try pairing it with something else 😁.
Hi Yasu-san 🌞.
I know you only post Fukuoka sake, but I drank the same one just 3 days ago 😆.
It was delicious, juicy and gently sweet as it says on the back label ✨.
I just don't get the impression of sourness 🤔.
Good evening, Pon 🐤This baby is really delicious with careful clarity too ✨I'd like to try the other ones, both heated and fire-roasted 🍶Meat carpaccio could have been "sukiyaki" like with this baby if you put soy sauce on it now😆.
Good evening, Matsuchiyosan 🌙You drank the same one ✨The sweetness comes to the forefront, but I felt a gentle acidity in the background ✨.
I love to drink a variety of sake from my favorite region 😆 Recently, I've been really interested in Shiga sake.
drinking at home
Mild aroma,
but it is very dry.
The alcohol content is high at 17 degrees.
Try it with the charbroiled chicken I bought to go with the old Awamori,
It was a great match!
I'm so happy 😊.
The cheapest one.
Simpler drinking than the earlier Junmai Daiginjo.
A little blue astringency and fresh rice.
This one goes well with a side dish.
The Junmai Daiginjo is so deep that the impact of this one is too little.
Ueno Uoso
Aroma of rice with a refreshing feeling.
When you drink it, it has a mellow flavor that is typical of daiginjos.
The acidity, sweetness, and dignified umami are in harmony.
The mouthfeel is fresh and clean with a sense of minerality.
The rice-like flavor in the back gives it a sense of depth.
It is said to be dry, but it has a rich and structured flavor.
It is a very expensive wine, but it is very tasty.
Ueno Uoso
Sweet, fine-grained yet bodied mouthfeel.
The aroma is mild.
It is said to be sweet, but it is not just sweet, but also has bitterness and astringency, which come together with the firm flavor of rice.
The supple sweetness and pleasant bitterness with a long, pleasant aftertaste.
A very limited and expensive quintessence.
It is delicious.
Ueno Uoso
The first sake I ever drank♪
During the tasting, I had a sake made with brown rice of this. It was interesting and complex in flavor, but I ended up with 70% polished rice.
It had a slightly old sake feel, but of course it had a freshness to it, and it was interesting and delicious.
On the way back from a walk around Hikone Castle, I was at a liquor store in the castle town.
Mitsunyan and Sakonyan were also there.
Hikone Castle is also known as Konkame Castle.
Sake is also called "kinkame" in the same reading.
