Slightly apple-like aroma on the top.
The same mild aroma as the first sip, the firm umami of rice spreads gradually with a plump sweetness and fine acidity, and is quickly quenched by the spiciness of the alcohol and a moderate bitterness.
While the umami of the rice is firm, the dryness of the alcohol in the latter half makes it easy to drink. This sake has a somewhat classical impression. It is better to drink it with a meal than on its own.
It goes well with motsu nabe and cod roe dishes.
Special junmai with a rice polishing ratio of 58%. The color is dark when poured into a glass. The aroma has a sense of maturity with acidity. It has a good balance of rich sweetness and acidity, just like Yamahai. The sugar content is 12%, but the sweetness is more than that. It is best when slightly lukewarm because the acidity only gets stronger when it is heated. The aftertaste is sharp despite the strong flavor, and the taste is perfectly balanced. I don't really like heated sake, but this is good!
There was also a sake from Kumamoto, which we visited last weekend!
Koroh Special Honjozo
It was my first time!
It was a sake with a delicious rice flavor!
I heard that there are fireworks displays at night depending on the season, and during the winter season, the area is lit up like this!
I have visited Toya Onsen for a day trip in the past.
The night view is also quite nice!
But it's still cold outside 🥶.

This is the first time I have had Koroh, a clear, slightly dry sake.
It has a fresh and crisp aroma like fresh green apple, a fermented aroma like yogurt, and a mild grain aroma that can be felt in the mouth, with a restrained sweetness. It has a strong acidity and umami, with some bitterness, giving the impression of a clean aftertaste. Thank you for the treat.
