At Hokkaido Genshiyaki pub in Bangkok. We had it with the local dish of Hokkaido, higashira namasu. It was the first time for me to eat Japanese local cuisine in a foreign country.
When you drink it together with another sake, you can't tell what kind of sake it is, but it has a sweetness and aroma. It's not sweet, but it's very easy to drink and tastes almost like a white wine.
I couldn't help but buy it because of the lovely label. It has an aroma like a natural rice brewery and a wine-like acidity and freshness that really fits the atmosphere of the label picture.
This is the 10th in the Toyama Prefecture Hiyaoroshi mini-bottle series. Himi no Akebono is not too sour and sweet, and the flavor is well balanced. Since the brewery is located near the sea, it goes well with fish dishes.
This is a mini-bottle that I bought at a convenience store. It's a bit sharp and hard to drink as it is, but when I ate it with a bamboo dumpling I got from a friend, we both had a strong aroma, so it was delicious.
