Uekiya @ Aizuwakamatsu's hanpukai limited edition sake.
A delicious sake with a good taste of rice and moderate sweetness. As one would expect from the Tsurunoe Sake Brewery.
A sparkling sake that blows away the heat and humidity of Tokyo and evokes the refreshing sea breeze of Hirado, Nagasaki. Great for summer sake!
Would it go well with ratatouille?
Purchased at a sake brewery just above the Itoigawa-Shizuoka Tectonic Line a year ago GW. The brewing water is said to be from the western Japan side.
As the name suggests, it has a powerful flavor.
A wonderful sake that tickles the fancy of geological enthusiasts.
I got this from a drawing at Uekiya, Aizu, summer gin light nigori, a May-only shipment from Keiraku.
It is no longer calpis!
You can taste the umami of rice and a hint of acidity, and it is a sharp sake, just like a summer sake.
At Aizu Kuranbu @ Aizu Wakamatsu
I requested a dry sake, and this is what I was served.
Fruity and rich on the palate. It is fruity and rich on the palate, with a firm spiciness that spreads through the mouth. It goes down smoothly and is delicious.
At Aizu Kurarabu @ Aizu Wakamatsu
The restaurant will be closing soon, and they offered us a large portion of their carefully stored past 寫楽, which is a very old sake.
It is a very sturdy old sake. It is a dignified sake.
At Aizu Kurabu @ Aizu Wakamatsu
This is a summer version of Yamanoi Shiro, a light nigori (light-bodied) draft sake, that has been bottle-aged for about six months.
The sweet and sour taste of the lactic acid beverage spreads in the mouth, making it a refreshing sake that is slightly different from its winter counterpart.
Hello, nabe-san.
Sake from Minamiaizu is delicious, isn't it? I like this Aizu sake brewery so much that I think their sake may be the best in Japan. All of them are delicious, including Yamanoi and Rin!
At Aizu Kuranobu @ Aizu Wakamatsu
While the cherry blossoms are still in bloom in Aizu this year, I enjoy a lightly cloudy sake with a gentle flavor. The mouth is filled with a slight aroma of cherry blossoms. It is a wonderful spring sake.
Aizuwakamatsu, Uekiya Hanpukai Limited Edition
This sake has the sweetness of rice, but also has a robust flavor. It would go well with Aizu's local dish of pickled Shin Shin with Sansho (Japanese pepper).
I bought a bottle of sake at Toyama station last GW and let it mature (?). It finally made it to the mound at our house.
It has a subtle shwashiness and sweetness of rice.
It is delicious.
We enjoy it cold.
I had not been drinking much local sake even though I am a city dweller. I bought it while visiting the brewery.
It is a robust and dignified sake, which is unique to the original, and seems to go well with strong food with it.
I will have a repeat purchase!
