Thank you for coming! Off-line meeting of Kansai Sakewa
A meeting with Mr. Gura (9)
A strong sake that makes you think twice about what to order, since there are different tastes.
Bouken-san told us that Shikishima is rather easy to drink, so we decided to order it just to see what it was like.
Shikishima Yumeginko Special Junmai Unfiltered Nama Sake
It has a rich, dark umami flavor with a unique aftertaste.
The aroma was described by one person as "the smell of cardboard paper" or "the dusty smell you get when you put your face inside a box", which is also a very unique and impactful description.
The Shikishima I drank before had a unique flavor that made me think, "What? The Shikishima I drank before had a unique flavor that made me think, "What?
Kansai Salmon Wagyu Gathering (3)
After opening a bottle of summery sake, we had a drink with a selection of the newly arrived sakes that had been uploaded on SNS before we visited the restaurant.
Shikishima Yumeginko Special Junmai Unfiltered Nama Sake
The image of the sake is a slight aroma of rice, with a stimulating throat sensation that shifts from umami and sweetness to spiciness, and then finishes with a sharp finish.
Before drinking it, bouken told me that it smelled like cardboard, so I tasted it to see if it was true.
It is true!
It smells like wet paper like cardboard in the spiciness.
This is quite a unique sake 😁.
Hi Gyve ☀☀☀☀.
It was Mr. Umai who first discovered the aroma of the box 😁I heard that the new koji room may or may not have influenced it 🤔I didn't have this flavor before...
Good morning Gyve 😃.
When I drank Shikishima in April I reviewed it as smelling of grain and dust 😅I blamed it on the poor storage conditions at the store, but the liquor store wasn't bad... 🤣
Hi Uma Uma Uma ☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀.
Thanks for the offline meeting 😁 Thanks again for all your help 🙇.
It may be unwilling for a sake brewery, but the image of "Shikishima" = cardboard and corrugated paper was imprinted 💦.
Hello bouken ☀☀☀☀.
I see 💡 maybe it's the effect of updating the facility 🤔.
Sake is a wonder that such flavors can be created with basic rice and water 😁.
The meeting with Mr. Gura (iii)
Shikishima is a place I'm not really into.
But if I see him out and about, I'll drink 😁.
Unlike the Shikishima I've had so far, it has a nice aroma on the nose.
But when I drink it, it has a complex flavor and a little cardboard-like boxy flavor can be seen and hidden. Sweet and bitter.
I think it's lighter than the other Shikishima's.
The aroma may be a bit Western 🤔.
I remember writing that the Shikishima Yamadanishiki I drank before also had a Western-style aroma.
I think it's a lie that it tastes like a box, right? I know you might think that, but many people who drank it were convinced by the box 🤣.
I think Gura-san said it tastes more boxy when it's warmed up.
bouken, I hope you had a good time offline! Thanks for your hard work😊
I missed drinking Shikishima, so I thought about buying it yesterday, but went through...
I was going to buy a box of Shikishima, but I didn't...? 😳I don't think I want to drink it 🤣.
Thanks for the recent offline meeting, Pon-chan 🙇.
I wish you could have experienced the box 😏.
This Shikishima is a delicious box with a modest box feel, but there is also a stronger box feel, so it might be better to go to a store where you can taste and buy 🤔.
The end of May
100% Yamada-Nishiki used
Polishing ratio 60
Alcohol content 18
Sake meter degree: +7, Acidity: - (for reference)
Fat: 5/7, opened 5/31
I tasted a few different kinds of sake at my favorite liquor store and liked this one!
The smell after opening the bottle was completely opposite to the fruity smell of the rice flavor😍I was trying to imagine what it was! This is it!
Vanilla! A rich vanilla flavor with lots of vanilla beans! And it's smoky too!
I've never experienced this smell before 🤩 I am overflowing with anticipation!
When you put it in your mouth, you can taste the fragrance and the delicious rice flavor! It was so dry that the spiciness spread out and lingered for a long time, but the spiciness went well with the oily yellowtail sashimi.
When I tasted it, I thought it would be a refreshing dry wine for early summer, but maybe it's because it was just opened... it was so delicious!
It's a sake match (happiness) 😍
Delicious!
Last week's horses
The Derby was ridden well by Mr. Nori Yokoyama 🙅.
The horses I targeted came in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the Kyoto 11R on Saturday, and I won a big prize!
Good morning, kozo 😃.
I'm interested in smoky sake ✨
You did a great job on guessing the hole ❗Nori did a great job too 🏇Danon, it would have been interesting if you were in Satsuki-sho ❗
Mr. Noodle King
Good evening...
Yes, yes! Was there something foreshadowed in the avoidance just before the shipment of Satsuki-sho? Or was it a fine play by Ms. Noritake? Well, it's the latter.
I think the frame order was good and the development of the race was suitable for Danone!
The first brand I encountered
Handa City, Aichi Prefecture. I didn't know there was a brewery in such a place.
Gentle sweetness and fruity flavor.
The alcohol content is high at 18 degrees, but it goes down smoothly and dangerously.
Today we had a drink comparison of the three collaborating breweries. The gorilla label represents Aichi Prefecture, and the location of each brewery is shown as Owari, Mikawa, and Chita. All are made with Yume-Ginko sake rice. This Shikishima has an alcohol content of 18%. The Shikishima has an alcohol content of 18%, is lightly cloudy, and has a slightly acidic taste. 2420 yen.
Home-drinking record
Purchased at Kamoshita Sake Shop in Fuchu City.
The rice used is Yume-Ginko.
It is somewhere between classic and modern.
No gassiness.
Slightly sweet aroma ^_^.
The aftertaste is pungent.
We stopped by Sakeya Otake in Sakae on a sightseeing tour of Nagoya.
We compared sake at the corner!
First up was Shikishima, which I had often heard of and was curious about.
It is a sake with a smoky taste.
I wonder if this is classified as a dry sake?
I thought it was a good one for a mealtime drink. 🙆♂️
Here is the one I failed to post.
I was a bit nervous about this one because it was 18%, but it was a dangerous one with a strong umami flavor that was easy to drink!
The aroma is mild, with a little bit of lactic acidity and umami, and the high alcohol content makes it crisp and dry ✨.
Yes, this is a dry Yuho no Shiro 💕
Hah~ unforgettable~ I want another bottle 😋.
Next time I want to pair it with something like bonito 🐟.
Hi Mamio, nice to meet you!
I'm always referring to you 😊.
I saw Shikishima's light nigori at a liquor store the other day and was curious about it but passed on it 🥲.
I hope they still have it next time I go ✨
Good evening, Mamio 😃.
I have an image that Shikishima is high in alcohol 🤔, but Mamio-san raves about Dry Youho😍We should like this one too! I'm sure we'll like it too 🤗.
Good evening, Mamio. I've been wanting to drink both Yuho and Shikishima, but I can't. Every time I see your review, I have to drink them! I've been wanting to drink both Yuho and Shikishima, but can't seem to! I'm determined to drink it every time I read your review 😊.
Hello Kotaro, nice to meet you! I know this is not a helpful review 😅Thank you for taking a look 😊This light nigori was really delicious and I hope you still have it! ✨
Jay & Nobby, Good evening ⭐You're right, many of them are high in alcohol 🤔I was worried about this one because it was so expensive, but it was delicious & dry and great 🥰If you still have it, please do ✨.
Hi Hirupeko, good evening ⭐I'm totally taken by the reluctant uncle🤣I'm especially glad this one came with a bang💕.
I'm after Narumi too, but the store near me only has low al so far and I haven't been able to get my hands on it 🤣.
