禊萩(自生)
Kiyohagi is that thing who drinks all night long. For my first Kujutama of the year, I'll have it as a Daiginjo. Purchased at the brewery in Takayama City. The aroma is a nutty ginjo scent with a strong alcohol presence. The palate starts with the umami and sweetness of the rice, followed by an alcohol sensation that hits the nose, finishing with sweetness and bitterness.
Misogi Hagi cherishes Kujutama because it was the first sake he ever drank, and he remembers his late grandfather drinking it. Though he never got to drink with his grandfather, he sips his sake today, wondering what his grandfather would think of this grandson turned drinking enthusiast. Grandfather, your grandson is drinking enthusiastically and doing well 🫡
