My first Mikotsuru is a Junmai Ginjo of Yamae Nishiki.
I purchased this bottle in March when I visited Nagano Prefecture on an errand and began to be interested in Nagano sake.
While Shinshu Kamerei and Yamasan, which I recently drank in Nagano Prefecture, were rather light and thin in flavor, this Mikotsuru has a much darker flavor and is very drinkable.
It has a juicy, rich sweetness and a complex flavor with depth. It has a bitter taste in the latter half, and the refreshing alcohol gives it a crispness, making it a delicious sake as rumored.
I also like the label, which follows the image of a universal sake label, but seems to express a modern atmosphere with its use of color and gold foil letters. As I write this, the taste is exactly the same, a perfect balance of modern and classical aspects.
They also seem to offer different rice varieties and my favorite activated nigori sake, so I am sure this will be a brand I will continue to patronize in the future.
🍶It has a fresh apple-like and pear-like aroma, with an elegant sweetness and umami spread, and a slight gasiness and pleasant bitterness that is sharp and enjoyable to drink even in the hot summer 😍It will be gone soon too😅 lol.
I'm glad I got to drink it 🚗I regretted not stopping by the brewery when I visited Suwa Lake before so I'm glad I made love to you!
I'm glad I made love to it 🍶Place to buy it: Miyajima 💕, a local sake shop in Nagano
Mikotsuru, Junmai Ginjo by Kinmonniki
I had never had much experience with Kinmonnishiki sake, but this time I experienced it through Mikotsuru!
On the palate, it has a light, gaseous feel that is typical of Mikotsuru.
It has a calm impression with an elegant sweetness that is not dull.
The aftertaste is mellow and full of umami and bitterness.
It is very pleasant to drink. ✨️
The mild sweet aroma of bananas
The sweet aroma of bananas on the nose is also good☺.
It was a beautiful sake that made me want to savor it with my eyes closed!
A classic summer drink 🍶.
It seems they used to make Miyamanishiki as well,
But for the last few years it's been Yamae Nishiki 🌾.
I wonder if the Yamanishiki is ideal for this 🤔.
It still has the same sweet taste.
Fizzy and perfect for hot weather 🫧.
The sweetness will sag as the temperature rises,
Add ice to keep it tasty 🧊sustainable🤣.
I am convinced that it is absolutely delicious, Mikotsuru's active nigori! I went home to share it with my family 🥂.
The rice used was Yamae Nishiki.
It is refreshing with a slight carbonation and a thick, fine texture on the tongue. ✨️
It has a juicy, sweet and sour taste that is typical of Yamae Nishiki, and can be drunk like a juice without feeling heavy at all.
It became empty in an instant☺.
Hello, Jay & Nobby!
This time of year, a lot of active nigoris are released and all of them are delicious... Mikotsuru was as good as expected, or even better than expected: ✨️
Mikotsuru Activated Nigori Nama Sake
We've been waiting for this season: ❗️
Activated Nigori Nama-zake is released every year in early summer.
After a few months of in-bottle fermentation
After a few months of in-bottle fermentation, it comes out.
But this year, it was a little more mature.
The cork opened without any problem.
I want to be a little more fiddly with the cork.
It's a fruity, fruity, fruity wine.
Hi Jaynobi 😃.
As a Miko lover💕 person,
I'm hoping for a more energetic pichi pichi drink, but lately there are less drinks that are 5-10 minutes and fiddly, I wonder if it's because of complaints or something 😅.
I'm drinking at home🎶🎶.
Today we went to Akashi for octopus 🐙 fishing 🛥️🎣
We caught a few but we caught some 😊.
To the octopus fe🐙🌶️🐙
I'll have some Gokotsuru, a souvenir from my friend who went on a trip to Nagano 🙏.
It's a Junmai sake, but it's a little bit spicy and bitter from the sweetness of the sake 😊.
Delicious 😋 with a dry entrée and dry sake 😋.
Good evening, Ponchan 🐙.
I go every year around this time 🐙 last year too😅
I've never seen Miko's can before either😅
Great choice for a souvenir for a friend 😍
Tonight's first issue in the series 🍶.
Mikotsuru" 😊.
We took them to a new liquor store we found on our way home from the liquor store.
I was excited to open the bottle and smell the aroma of this new brand...
I took a sip while thinking, "This is a sweet aroma👃This is a deliciously sweet type ⁉️
It's so sweet 😋It's another one that I'm sure the wife will enjoy😍...
I'll have to bring her back 😅
Hi Mr. Baum 😃
Congratulations on your first Mico at your new liquor store ㊗️ 🎉It's delicious 🤗I'm sure you'll come up with a whole bunch you'll want to take home!
Shimosuwa Hot Springs Collective Purchase (2)
At a liquor store in Shimosuwa Onsen, there were so many brands to buy, that I narrowed it down to two Mikotsuru from a local sake brewery, one of which was "Gohyakumangoku, unfiltered, raw, dry sake" â
It may be dry among Mikotsuru's sake, but it is sweet and fruity enough to be Mikotsuru's sake 🤭.
Of course, it is a great Mikotsuru world, but I'm sorry, my family prefers the balance of sweetness, acidity and freshness of "Hitogokochi Unfiltered Unrefined Nama Sake" from the previous check-in 😋.
That said, it is a beautiful sake that will elevate our weekend home-cooked meals 😊 Mikotsuru's Unfiltered Nama Sake is truly wonderful ✨ Thank you for the meal.
We learned of the store's existence through an Internet search and made a detour to visit.
Among the many sakes available, we chose this brand, which is not sold in the neighborhood.
When the bottle was opened, it had a fruity aroma. In the mouth, it had a chili-like flavor, with a rich sweetness and a good acidity. It was gorgeous and delicious, and I would like to drink a different sake rice.
We also had a comparison of the 16th generation Kuroemon sake. All were delicious, but the Omachi was my favorite of the three.
