Kinmon-nishiki is a very unusual rice. Although it was born about 60 years ago, it has only been used in Nagano in earnest for the past 20 years. Until then, Fukumitsuya in Ishikawa Prefecture protected it and purchased all the rice they used. For more information, please visit SAKE street or other online sources. So, I tend to buy Kinmon-nishiki sake whenever I see it. This time it is Mikotsuru. Oh, there are cranes here, too. Gokotsuru" is a stable and tasty sake. To be honest, I don't have the palate to appreciate the quality of the rice, but the pleasant muscat-like aroma gives it a superb sweetness. Depending on the accompaniment, it also has a bitter taste. Delicious!
