It's that time of year again!
SAKE COMPETITION 2025
The manager of my home liquor store recommended it to me
I bought the Gold 1st prize in the Junmai Ginjo category 😉.
50% polished Yamadanishiki, 15% alcohol by volume.
The sound of the bottle opening is "f" and "ponk ♫".
The bottle has a gorgeous aroma of melon and pineapple right out of the bottle.
Even though it's not unpasteurized sake...
Microbubbles at the bottom of the glass.
When you drink it, you'll see that it is truly sweet and delicious ❗️
The freshness of the chili flavor and the good acidity make it delicious!
After the lactic acidity, you can also feel the lactic acidity.
Almost no bitterness in the last taste.
But it's not flashy and elegant like Tobiroki.
It was a delicious sake with a smooth and sweet taste that is typical of Yamadanishiki 😃.
At first impression, it seemed light and refreshing, but after tasting it carefully, it is a rich and mellow sake.
When served with hand-rolled sushi, its umami and sweetness stand out.
The second bottle was HARU.
This is a brand I learned about through a follow-up with Sake-no-Wawa.
I was excited because this is the first time for me to drink KANKENBAI myself 😄.
Polishing ratio 60
Alcohol content 15
When the bottle was opened, there was a nice bong sound.
The sweetness is not as strong as the first bottle, but the sweetness is enhanced by the gasiness and the taste is more balanced 😊.
The entrée is a combination of Ondo shirasu and tofu.
This combination is also delicious 😋.
This is my first time to try Penguin🐧 in the summer. Since it is a summer sake, I will drink it expecting to see what it tastes like!
I think it tastes solid. It doesn't have much of a ginjo aroma, but it is firm yet sharp!
The price is reasonable, so I think it is recommended for the coming season. ‼️
