I couldn't forget this sake after drinking it at the store last year.
When I visited the brewery, it was too early in the season to have it, but I asked for delivery. Actually, this is my second bottle. It is still delicious.
Drinking at home
I went to Shiga on vacation and went to a sake brewery to buy cold mihuku, but I couldn't because it was a little too early in the season. I decided to come all the way here and bought a summer sake with a cute label. I was so excited that I kept it until I could drink it slowly.
As is typical of nigori sake, it was thick and mild on the palate, with a strong rice flavor and umami. After it goes down your throat, the acidity, which is typical of Yamahai sake, finishes it off nicely. What is this? It's so delicious, I thought I could enjoy drinking it, and as I went down the throat, the gusto like a Japanese sake came over me.
You can enjoy all the interesting aspects of sake, and this luxurious feeling of being able to enjoy a whole bottle of sake makes me too happy.
I thought I liked sake from Nara and Kochi a lot, but I also thought Cold Mifuku and Mifuku Brewery might be my type of sake. Next time I find a Mifuku sake at a store, I'm going to try it!
Almost colorless and transparent. Fruity aroma reminiscent of bananas. The intensity of the aroma is medium. Sweet and sour, juicy mouthfeel. Exquisite acidity with a slight effervescence. The nose has a hint of strawberry. The sharp and short aftertaste. It is a fragrant sake.
I realized after I bought it.
You got it last year too 🍶.
It's been a long time since I've had a bottle of Mitomiku.
It has a core flavor that is typical of junmai nama sake.
You can taste the umami and acidity.
Although the alcohol content is high,
but the sharpness of the sake keeps you from getting tired of drinking it.
Junmai Daiginjo Special Blend for Early Summer
We went directly to the brewery of Mifuku Sake Brewery to purchase this sake.
It is sold by weight every month.
It tasted fruity but very robust. It was delicious.
Nice to meet you, Mitomiku Sake Brewery.
I saw it at Maruda Sake Brewery before it was on the store shelves and bought it because of its cute packaging.
It had a sweetness like melon or melon. It had a clean aftertaste in spite of its appearance.
The aroma is slightly melon, and the flavor is strong and rich, probably due to the Yamadanishiki sake brewing process, and although there is a slight spiciness on the tongue, it is refreshing at the end!
GW 10 consecutive holidays٩٩▿▿۶ START☻
I drank for the first time. I knew it.
The pop was full of intriguing words,
I bought it.
It is a summer sake and the goldfish package is cute.
It's a cloudy sake with a makgeolli flavor,
I drank it with pancakes. I drank it.
It was delicious. I'm so happy.
Spring Sake & Nigorinpic 0️⃣ 2️⃣
I attended sake events both Saturday and Sunday over the weekend, so I'm back to drinking at home today 😀.
Here's another one I got from Mitomiku-san at the Shiga Kurabiraki following 0️⃣ 1️⃣ 😀
I was actually aiming for the Sanrensei at Mitomihisa, but I'm a sucker for the phrase "limited edition" and it seemed to fit with the Spring Sake & Nigorinpik project they're working on right now 🤣.
This sake is said to have 17% alcohol content, but I liked the taste because it was very straightforward and you could not feel the high alcohol content.
I liked the taste of the sake that made me feel spring 🌸.
Good evening Yasbaye 🦉.
I see you got this one too 🌸There were a lot of people tasting and I remember I wanted to take a little more time to look at the alcohol 😅I don't care what it is, it's good that it's popular 😊👍.
Good morning Yasubeyesan 😃
I also went there last year to buy the limited edition of Kurabiraki 😁I didn't buy it this year either 😅I'm attracted by the limited edition, but I think I'm usually not wrong 😌.
Hi, Pon 😀
At this year's kurabiraki, this Mitomiku-san in particular had a very eventful atmosphere and I could feel the excitement of the customers 😀.
I would have liked to do a few more tastings, but I wanted to visit all the breweries in one day if possible 🤣.
Hi Rafa papa 😀
The words "limited edition" are very attractive to me 🤣.
But I think the brewer is also putting a lot of effort into their sake just because it's limited edition😇.
We have just opened a bottle of Sakura Tofu, a limited edition sake for the Spring Kura Festival 😁.
This sake is low priced and limited.
I bought it last year, but I think the taste is a little different this year compared to last year 🙄 I will probably buy it again next year, so I will record it here.
I think I will probably buy it again next year, so I will keep a record of it.
My image of this year
Weak aroma
Alcoholic taste is weak
Sourness
It is a little dry but easy to drink. Junmai Ginjo with 17% alcohol by volume.
Now I have a reason to go back next year🤣.
I'm already looking forward to next year👍
Hi Robin 😀
Robin, you also brought home this sake 😀.
I was going to buy Gundam from Mitomiku too, but I was attracted by the limited edition spring sake, so I went with this one😇.
Maybe I will see you in Shiga next year 😀.
Tokaido Sake Brewery Tour in Spring (2)
It takes about 20 minutes to walk straight down the Tokaido Highway from Sho Shiki👣.
It was the most crowded place with many tastings and food 🎶.
We had fried shishamo (shishamo smelt), tte-ni-ni (fried rice with vegetables in a clay pot), yakisoba (fried noodles), and more for lunch!
My favorite sake from the tasting is pictured above right. Among them...
Top and bottom left: Junmai-Sanryusei, Junmai-Ginjo, Junmai-Daiginjo
Charged
Maybe it was because we were eating, but I preferred Junmai and Jungin.
Yamahai comparison: Iginjunsei, Churimof, Arabashiri, Yukikasumi Nama
Charged
Yuki Kasumi Nama and Arabashiri were delicious with fried noodles and yakisoba!
Top right: "Tankoba nao kumi tarekuchi" (directly drawn from the vat)
I don't remember much about the sake, but I was impressed by the conversation with the brewer.
I remember that there used to be a lot of tanks in the tasting area and tour corner 😳.
I was surprised and felt lonely at the same time!
Bottom right: MIZUKAGAMI's Amazake and Umeshu (plum wine)
After tasting so much, I was refreshed and my mouth was happy 🎶.
The cherry blossoms along the Tokaido Highway were only a minute or two in bloom🌸
Good evening, Pon 😀
Mitomiku-san was the most eventful and enjoyable 😇.
There were quite a few paid and free tastings, and many of the brewery's limited edition sake were very different 😀.
I bought 2 bottles here and will open them today 😀.
Good evening, Mr. Yasube.
Mr. Mitomiku, it really was like a festival 😊.
I didn't know that 😳‼️ was blowing snow haze like crazy 😅I didn't know that 😅I know it must have been hard work but I enjoyed it 😆🙏.
Pon.
Good morning!
Sounds like a fun sake brewery tour 😍I'd love to take a non-stop tour of the brewery on a specific route.
Brewery tours are a fun thing to do in my old age 🤣when the kids grow up 😁my wife doesn't drink so she won't be able to accompany me 💦.
Shiga Prefecture Brewery Tour (2) Mitomiku Shuzo
I am familiar with the Mitomiku Sake Brewery and have a strong sense of familiarity with it, but this was my first visit to the brewery.
The entire brewery was open to the public, and there was also a souvenir shop 😁 and food stalls and tastings for a fee, so I decided to fill my stomach a little before noon.
Free Tasting
Sakura Tofu Junmai Ginjo
A limited edition sake for the Spring Kura Matsuri. The aroma is soft and fluffy, and the acidity is fresh and refreshing, just like spring. And it is very inexpensive at 1,000 yen for a four-pack.
Amazake
It has a natural, refreshing sweetness and is very tasty. In my opinion, it is a good match for Yonetsuru's amazake. I guess there are some really sweet and tasty amazake out there, if you look for them.
Nijiiro no Saihi Junmai Daiginjo Nama Sake
It is a little gassy, sweet, and softly delicious.
Ii, whose mother is Nikomaru, is a very good friend of mine.
This is a rice with Nikomaru as its mother. It seems to be a new variety from Omi. It has a sour taste and a strong umami flavor, but not much sweetness.
Sanryusei Extra Edition II Mizukagami
It has a refreshing taste on the palate, followed by a bitter aftertaste. It was like this when I drank Mizukagami at Tengawa.
Yamahai Junmai Nama-zake Araubashiri
It was rough and tingled on the tongue. The taste was strong.
It was followed by...
Hello, Nemuchi-san. I think you can enjoy the festival atmosphere at Mitomiku just by going there. I used to have a banquet with Suyaki and funa-zushi in a box of P-boxes 😆.
