It was a fun night yesterday, celebrated friend's 30th birthday. Decided to be creative in wine pairing and tried this marvelous Junmai Daiginjo from Yamagata prefecture. It perfectly paired with Mexican cuisine. What a hidden gem!

Today, I decided to try the top sake from Kochi prefecture. Suigei Koiku Junmai Ginjo: it has a flavorful fruity notes coupled with a clean finishing. Absolutely delicious and can be easily paired with any dishes. To my surprised, this Junmai Ginjo is on par with Junmai Daiginjo quality.

It was a wonderful and enjoyable night with 3 bottles of sakes (1 Tatenokawa Junmai Daiginjo Honryu and 2 Kubota Manjyu) until I have forgotten to take photos of it. My review on Tatenokawa Honryu is: It is a fine class dry Junmai Daiginjo, perfectly paired with the fish cuisine I had today at a local izakaya. It was too easy to drink, will definitely buy this sake series again.
