Kayashima Shuzo, Nishinoseki Fukujuya
Special junmai sake sold only in Oita Prefecture
Full-bodied, melon-like aroma and sweetness typical of junmai sake
Tastes better chilled.
Isokura Shuzo, Junmai-shu Nihiharu "Tsuchi
100% Nipponharu produced in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture
The water color is very yellow.
Nutty, creamy, or something like that.
It is good cold or at room temperature, but it should be warmed up.
Isokura Shuzo, Inazato, Junmai Ginjo "Hoshi
100% Hitanishiki produced in Kasama, Ibaraki
Fruity aroma like melon.
Sweet at first, then sour, then pungent, then immediately cutting through without pulling away unnecessarily.
The taste and aroma are both crisp and clear, even when chilled in the refrigerator.
Nagayama Shuzo, Yamazaru Junmai
This is also from Yamaguchi Prefecture, Saito no Shizuku.
When chilled, it is slowly spicy. At room temperature, it has a mild and fragrant aroma on the palate, but both of these aromas quickly fade away, leaving a slight spiciness.
But it tastes better when heated. It is spicy, but also mildly sour and sweet, and the aroma is more fragrant.
Ichinokura, Junmai Ginjo Kura no Hana
I've decided to drink Tohoku sake on March 11
Sorry, I just drank a Pilsner Urquell while watching the WBC Japan vs. the Czech Republic!
It has a sharp and elegant aroma!
Satoura Sake Brewery, Kirizukuba, Special Junmai Yoshinuma Rice
Junmai sake made from rice grown in the Satoura Shuzo Brewery's neighborhood.
Delicious at vegetable-room temperature or lukewarm to super-heated.
Shotoku Shuzo, Junmai Ginjo-Metta no Zodiac Sake
A zodiac sign of the year sake with a fortune sold every year at Cardi's.
Sweetness at first, quickly replaced by acidity, and then quickly recedes with a hint of ginjo aroma.
Since it is a mikudai, I only buy the omikuji number 39 (steel will).
Popular Shuzo, Popular Ichi Sparkling
It's New Year's, so I drink bubbles (incoherent thoughts and statements).
The sourness, sweetness and yeasty aroma are yogurt-like.
The carbonation pressure is... well... weak.
Umeichirin Shuzo, Umeichirin, Junmai-shu
This is another Fusakogane from Kujukuri area.
It has a punchy taste, and I like it warmed up to a higher temperature.
Umeichirin Shuzo, Umeichirin, special ginjo dry
Fusakogane from Kujukuri area
It doesn't have to win a prize at a sake fair or anything like that, it just has to be like this, like this.
Hananomai Shuzo Junmai Sake
This is also a souvenir sake from the WEC expedition.
There were two types of Junmai Sake: Kaoru Junmai Sake and this regular Junmai Sake, but I chose the regular Junmai Sake.
The manufacturer recommends serving it cold or at room temperature, but I thought it tasted better warmed up (KONAMI sensation).
Hana-no-Mai Sake Brewery, Ginjo-shu Flower Label
The other day, I went to watch the 6 Hours of Fuji World Endurance Championship!
While I was there, I bought this at MaxValu in Gotemba City!
All Yamadanishiki produced in Shizuoka Prefecture is used!
Kyokui Tanaka Shuzo, Junmai Ginjyo Genshu Kamegokura
Souvenir of the Snow Miku Expedition
Limited edition from Tanaka Sake Brewery, located between Otaru Chikko station and Minami Otaru station.
It was very hard to walk in the cold weather, but I'm glad I got the Yukine sticker!
It's not far from Wing Bay Otaru, so I would like to go there again when the weather is nice!
