The 22nd Hankyu Brewery Festival ⑫
Manazuru] booth.
This is another unfamiliar brewery.
◉Manazuru Tokubetsu Junmai (Miyamanishiki)
Miyamanishiki from Miyagi Prefecture. The color is very strong and the umami is very strong. I like this type.
◉Manazuru Yamahai Junmai
Aged for one and a half to two years. It has a mildly matured taste, ranging from umami to slightly spicy.
◉Manazuru Super Dry Special Junmai Flame
This is also aged for one and a half to two years. The label says "flame" and "ultra-hot," but the Japanese 1.5 to 2 year age rating is +8. I heard that dry wine is spicy even if it is aged.
◉Manazuru Junmai Ginjo
A very good sake, with a strong umami and a richness. The price is high, but since it was the last one, Bouken-san and I agreed to buy it.
◉Makizuru ◉Makizuru, special junmai, freshly mastered for sake brewing.
A very refreshing and spicy autumn flavor.
Tanaka Rinbei Junmai Daiginjo Miyamanishiki
A gorgeous, very umami and sweet taste that I like.
Tanaka Rinbei Junmai Daiginjo Yamadanishiki
The water is also very tasty. It is like Yamada-Nishiki.
The staff was very attentive and helpful.
The 22nd Hankyu Brewery Festival⑬
Tanaka Sake Brewery in Manazuru. This is also a member of the Japan Famous Sake Brewers Association, and although I have had sake limited to the Association in the past, I have the impression that it is not something you usually see here.
A sake brewery under the umbrella of the G-Lion Group, which operates car dealerships and restaurants headquartered in Kobe.
I drank
Manazuru Special Junmai (Miyamanishiki)
Deliciously spicy and refreshing
Manazuru Super Dry Special Junmai
It claims to be super spicy with a sake strength of +8, but it doesn't feel that spicy. It has umami and is dry and crisp.
Manazuru Yamahai Junmai
It tastes like old-fashioned Yamahai. Slightly bitter.
Manazuru Tokubetsu Junmai Autumn Agari
Full of flavor and umami. I think they recommend heating it up 🤔.
Manazuru Junmai Ginjo
I think he said it was recommended to be heated 🤔● Manazuru Junmai Ginjo - sweet and tasty - my favorite!
Nemuchi-san bought it after the last one was sold 😁.
Tanaka Rinbei Junmai Daiginjo Miyamanishiki
Gorgeous, sweet and delicious...
Tanaka Rinbei Junmai Daiginjo Yamadanishiki
It is a beautiful sake, but I think I prefer Miyamanishiki because of its sweetness.
The salesman was quite talkative and nice.
He was generous enough to let us sample even high-end sakes 🙇.
Last weekend in Sendai was the Jozenji Street Jazz Festival. There were quite a few people there.
As for me, I went to the summer party of the Wooden Craftsmen's Association. It was a BBQ at a house in the suburbs, and in addition to the usual meat and vegetables, there were mokuzu crab from the Hirose River and bear meat from the nearby mountain forests.
I definitely wanted to bring Manazuru sake to the kiyatenkai, because it was the only sake that was served during the kiyatenkai. This is because the first song sung during the kiyate is always "Manazuru," a song that marks the beginning of the work by the master.
The fragrance is almost imperceptible.
The taste is crisp, light, and dry. This is Tanaka Shuzo's specialty. The acidity and bitterness that come in the latter half of the bottle are also cut off cleanly and crisply. The fact that it does not go beyond the expected range is also a good thing about Manazuru.
Parent) Iyooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Receiving) Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Thank you for the food!
Tabayashi-Kamishibashi Special Junmai Sake
(The color is amber. The aroma has a hint of yogurt and steamed rice.
As soon as you drink it, the rich rice flavor spreads. The lingering taste is deep with a moderate aftertaste.
It is also good to drink warmed.
The original flavor will be more apparent.
It would be good to serve it to foreign and Japanese people who are accustomed to drinking sake in the middle to latter half of the nigiri.
Sake from Miyagi
Expedition return. Second bottle of Izakaya Komachi.
This is the first "Manazuru" I have had. Pale gold in color, it has a rather robust flavor. We had it cold, but it would also be enjoyable heated. (Heating sake in the car is not an option, though.
I would like to enjoy other brands of "Manazuru" as well. It is delicious.
Light straw yellow. Drank cold, almond aroma, a little toasted, good umami. Quite round, sweet. The ginjo ka manages to sneak in fruit aromas. As it warms up, the fruitiness diminishes. The umami, soy, toast come out more. Good roundness. Complex. Well-balanced koshu/jukusei shu flavor with freshness. Wow
Dry sake. It is easy to drink with a strong acidity and a good amount of miscellaneous flavors, but also has a good sharpness and does not leave too much aftertaste.
Checking in after a long time + drinking iron after a long time
These days, I work overtime, go home, drink a lot, and have a blast. We are a generation of remnants of the Showa era.
A staple of sake drinking, it goes perfectly with the local Hoya.
The bitterness of the sea squirt + the subtle bitterness of the Manazuru goes perfectly with it!
Today we plan to visit National Treasure Building No. 1 ‼︎
May we meet some good sake on the way...
Tanaka Sake Brewery
Manazuru Junmai Ginjo Namaisouzake Harusake
This brewery is located in Kami-machi, Miyagi Prefecture.
Miyagi Miyamanishiki rice polished to 60%.
Slightly fruity aroma, gentle
The taste of rice and the beautiful acidity are well balanced with a sharp aftertaste.
A crisp aftertaste with a good balance of rice flavor and clean acidity.
