The spring sake army has settled down, so I opened another bottle today. This is the 6th round of the same Honjozo, so I'll spare you my impressions: 🙂‍↕️ It has a strong, full flavor like Awamori and Shochu, and a punchy spiciness and acidity! I heard that the production system will be changed in the future, but I look forward to seeing the reborn "Reimei" sometime in the future👍.

In the quest to conquer all prefectures, Okinawa Prefecture stands as a high obstacle. Sake = Awamori, and "Reimei" is the only sake available in Okinawa Prefecture. Since it is difficult to obtain in the mainland, I managed to get a bottle during my visit to Okinawa! I think it has a slight reddish tinge. The top aroma may be preconceived, but it has a faint banana-like flavor. In the mouth, it has a solid and matured feeling. The rice-derived graininess is strong... The rice polishing ratio is 70%. Sake reflects the local climate. It would go well with Okinawan cuisine, such as raftage. According to the store where we bought it, the production in Uruma City on the main island of Okinawa will last until 23BY. According to the store where we bought it, the production in Uruma City on the main island of Okinawa will last until 23BY. It may become more and more difficult to obtain. Kwachi-Sabatan! Jay & Nobby. Thank you for your comment. Yes...it may be difficult to obtain even on the main island of Okinawa in the future. We were lucky to get one of the precious bottles from the last year of production on the main island!

My hard-to-find sake (4) This is the real hard to find sake, Reimei from Okinawa 🤣. I know that you guys have tried to go around Japan and you can't go further than Okinawa and Miyazaki prefectures 😅. I have cleared Miyazaki prefecture at the beginning of the second lap, so if I clear Okinawa prefecture, the second lap is almost a done deal too. It's definitely a hard-to-find sake 🤣. In case you're wondering, I won't be attempting the third round 😅. I'm done with the hard work of searching for it and the taste is not worth it 😇 The taste of Reimei is not so bad to be honest, but it tastes like the sake that is often served at all-you-can-drink izakaya 😀.

Good evening, Yasbay 😃. It's great that you are so prepared to secure two sakes of Reimei for the second lap 😳👍. I can see the goal of the second lap of your Japan sake tour trip is almost in sight ☺️ But the pressure of the sake to be compared with Reimei is amazing 😄.

Hi Robin 😀 It is quite difficult to buy Sentoku sake from Miyazaki prefecture in Kansai, but if you go to Miyazaki, you can find it in supermarkets 😇. In my case, I was able to buy it because of the information that they put it out at a product exhibition in Miyazaki 🤣.

Hi Aladdin 😀 The store seemed to be having a hard time selling any sake at all, and they thanked me when I said I would buy the two small bottles they had left in bulk😇. The only people who would go out of their way to buy it would be those who are doing a round-the-japan trip to get it 🤣.

Hi Rafa papa 😀 Private trip to Okinawa ❓....I envy you😇 If I go to Okinawa, I don't think I will buy any more 🤣. I have all the rest of the second round of sake on standby, so all I have to do is drink it 🤣.

Let me record this. I went to a brewery in Okinawa when I found out they had Okinawan sake. I went to the brewery in Okinawa because it was closed at an inopportune time, so I looked around for it and found that no stores around me had it 💦. When I was about to give up and go home in tears, I found it at the airport! 😊. I was informed that they had junmai sake, but all they had was brewed sake. One of the purposes of my trip to Okinawa was to buy some local sake, so I bought it anyway 💰 and drank it slowly when I got home. It tasted almost the same as the regular brewed sake 👍. Now I want to try Junmai sake if they have it 😃.

This sake was definitely going to be the last one if I were to conquer all the prefectures of sake🍶. My kid who went to Okinawa bought me the one that is only available in Okinawa as a souvenir. When you open the bottle, the color of the sake is red from the unique sweet aroma! The taste is also unique and a bit sour. It is a sake that I have never tasted before and I thought it would be good for those who want to taste something different.

Hi Nokoaki 😃 I'm sure you've got a lot of Okinawan sake 🍶 to conquer in Japan! You must have good kids to bring back a bottle of Reimei Junmai Sake as a souvenir 🤗A little more to go! I see that there are a few more prefectures left 😄.

Hi Jay & Nobby😃 I've been enjoying buying sake in stores without using mail order, so I've given up on mail order for Reimei, but I didn't expect this! I'm sure you're right 💦 I'm going to enjoy the sake life while having fun with that too!

Just a reminder 🙏. I came to "Mozu" in Yokogawa, the second restaurant of the day, for the first time in a long time...it was on the stamp rally card I got at "SAKE BASE" 😅. I finally got to drink this sake from Okinawa, the southernmost brewery in Japan 🤩. It is indeed very peculiar 🍶.

A friend in Okinawa sent me one 🍾. The color is light pink. Rare. The aroma is faintly tingling. In the mouth, one senses a powerful acidity, but also a sense of a buzz. Although alcohol is felt, it soon disappears as if the alcohol taste shrinks inward, and bitterness is felt. A day after opening, the alcohol and bitterness have decreased. Easier to drink. ❗️ It can be likened to a refreshing shochu. It is good even if you drink it on the rocks. A new taste that I have never had before ✨

Kansai Sake-new year party ㉓ Following Hatsumigoyo, we drank Reimei I never thought I would have a chance to drink Reimei again 😳. After the Hatsumidai, the sake was very matured and had a very strong "The Sake" feel to it 💦. I also had Sagami Daisen and Shichiken, but I can't take a picture of the labels and can't remember what they tasted like, so I'll skip those.

もよもよ
This is Reimei, famous for Okinawa's only sake, a demon's gateway if you are trying to conquer the 47 prefectures of Okinawa. They use air conditioning to make sake in the subtropical climate. It tastes like classic sake with a strong graininess, but when drunk on the rocks, it is refreshing and tasty with a slight sweetness. It has a strong flavor, so it might be better on the rocks or hot sake. It seems to go well with strong flavored dishes.

★3.5 Classical but not that bad. Compared to traditional honjozo, it is an easy-drinking category. It ran out quickly when I drank it with food. I would like to drink it again when I go to Okinawa, but I think I'm done with it as a souvenir.
